Perennial Favorite
I have been wearing Lavanila Vanilla Coconut for almost as long as it has been released and loving it for all that time!

Vanilla Coconut is sweet-sweet-sweet and sticky-warm, like hot maple syrup on pancakes. Surprisingly, I catch no whispers of pineapple, no guava, no papaya, and I don't get much floral, but it's a delicious warm vanilla-coconut cake with a calm, quiet sandalwood base. Its general aura reminds me of Chopard Casmir. It's got a bit of "doll head" vibe, too, that powdery-peachy scent reminiscent of 80s-90s vinyl dolls. Vanilla Coconut's longevity is moderate and the sillage is as well, which strikes a good balance to me because I think I would be nose-drunk on its woody-boozy vanillic facets if it had gone the nuclear route.

Overall, I think it's comfy, pretty, enjoyable, and well worth its price. The scent is apparently attractive - I'm usually the "who even gets perfume compliments" person, but I actually do get compliments on this one, mostly from my husband and family - but I can feel overwhelmed by it if I over-apply. I originally bought it just for the beach in the summer, but it's also a cozy, warm, cuddly scent. And it reminds me a bit of the coconut cakes the bakery I worked at long ago sells during Christmastime. Funny enough, while lovely at the beach, I think it might be a perfect scent for a snowed-in day, too.

Summer Glow
This perfume is a longstanding summer favorite and easy reach of mine!

I’d say it’s dominantly a lime-coconut-sandalwood fragrance, opening with the fresh citrus and a sense of greenness, then blooming into a warm solar citrus woody. It has a nuance of clean floral making it lean a bit feminine, and has a sort of powdery sense from the warm sandalwood.

Whenever I wear it, I get a very clear picture of being on a hot beach in the late afternoon golden haze, salty breeze in the air, my skin toasty and sun-washed, hair all beach-waved from having swam in the ocean earlier, sarong around my waist, toes dug into the warm sand, salt-rimmed lime margarita in hand as I lazily saunter around shoreline. To me it very much creates a sense of a glowing aura, the sort of healthy relaxed happy feeling you have when you’ve slept enough and you’re on vacation and you can just close your eyes and enjoy a bit of music and the gentle swishing of trees.
