The perfect cherry for winter

If you want a cherry fragrance that lasts all day, and very powerful, Cherry Ambition is your answer.

I've been searching for a strong cherry perfume lately, without spending an enormous amount of money for Tom Ford, all I wanted was a strong and sweet cherry.

Cherry Ambition is very boozy, saffron and quite woody perfume . It has a flowery side as well and overall the sweetness of the cherry never ends and stays prominent.

It may be one of the best cherry perfumes out there, or even the best.

Spicy cherries

I can't believe so many people find this similar to Lost Cherry! Another example of how the sense of smell is different from person to person. LC, in very few words, is fresh cherry juice and balsamic notes to me - both of which I don't find overly prominent here.

Cherry Ambition centers around a sweet, candy-like cherry that leans a bit in the direction of cherry cough drops, but luckily never fully goes there. I don't think the sweetness here is similar to that of a marshmallow, it's not fluffy or powdery, more like a piece of hard candy.
Spicy notes are also very apparent, especially sharp saffron and an unlisted cinnamon. At times they make this smell slightly medicinal, at other times it's more like Cherry Coke.
In the base I get warm ambery notes, but also a hint of gaiac wood.
The scent as a whole is darker than the note list suggests. The cherry blossom is just as absent as the marshmallow and the heavier notes are quite present.

I like this take on cherry, even though it's a bit artificial at times. Cherry Ambition could be a good alternative for those who enjoy the spicy cherry blend of Gritti's Duchesa, but don't want to spend a fortune.

After spraying it several times and lurking around the fragrance for days, it was allowed to move into my collection.

The fragrance is strong, with a juicy cherry scent. It has depth and persists over time. It is joined by playful vanilla, spicy pepper and warm amber. Sweet marshmallows resonate.

I associate the fragrance with a profound and mysterious woman who knows what she wants and is sure of herself and loves being a woman.

Very popular in winter, in other seasons rather for the evening.

Sometimes love takes time...

Purchased here as a sample, Cherry Ambition initially sat unloved on my desk.
The fragrance pyramid sounded to me like exactly the cherry scent I was looking for - especially without almond or bitter almond! When I got here, I sprayed it on a test strip, smelled it and put it aside a little disappointed. It's not bad, I thought, but somehow strange and not what I had hoped for.
While I went about my work, I had to keep sniffing the test strip and slowly came to like the fragrance. My husband, also only semi-enthusiastic, said the fragrance wasn't worth the price. The following days were similar - I sprayed it on, then put it on my skin, sniffed it again and again and became more and more impressed by what I smelled:

Sweet but grown-up cherry, spicy pink pepper, slightly medicinal saffron, which somehow leaves a "cool" feeling in my nose and the cherry blossom, which continues to pull the cherry scent through the pyramid. Overall, it's a fresh, fruity, sweet fragrance that only becomes something special thanks to its saffron note - but you have to like - or love, like me - precisely this note.

But when it comes to the price, I have to agree with my husband - in my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not quite right. You get a really beautiful fragrance for my taste with only moderate durability and sillage in a 50ml bottle, which unfortunately comes across as very boring and not particularly stylish (could also be a 0815 online fragrance twin bottle). The fragrance lasts about 7 hours on my skin, but by then it has already been close to my skin for some time I decided to only buy this fragrance if it was ever on offer. Less than 5 days later, there was a 20% voucher and I went for it. Even with this discount, the fragrance is still not a bargain, but it doesn't hurt as much and for a fragrance that I actually love now, the money is not too bad.
