Neither fresh nor clean, Rose Praline is a sweet rose compared with the other Rosine scents. The juicier notes of bergamont are immediate; no cocoa, no vanilla, though a hint of musk breaks through the brighter green notes, giving ROSE PRALINE a warmer characteristic.

When asked, my kindergartener children tell me this smells, "Yummy, like candy. Good, like you." There is no mention of flowers or chocolate.


A sweet scent, though not gourmand in a vanilla batter way, ROSE PRALINE reminds me of BLV (the blue bottle of the Bvlgari brand). I think it's the lingering musk that reminds me of BLV, and, now it dawns on me, HONEY! ROSE PRALINE smells like honey roses, served with a bright green tea. Perhaps that's where the Praline name comes in. This is a honeyed rose that manages to smell like honey without smelling of urine (as many honey scents have a tendency to do).

No matter how lovely, it just DOES NOT LAST on the skin. It doesn't. Not a chance. It's as fleeting as a rainbow.

I purchased Vanille Insensee from Sephora, in the roller-ball size spray, and while I loved the cozy cling, FARINA memories amped up with a sophisticated filmy wood, like a lazy Sunday in, wearing his over-sized shirt, or in your gray sweatshirt draped over a shoulder in nubby wool socks, with your legs hanging over the edge of an over-sized chair, the silage wasn't big enough and the scent stayed too close to my skin.

However, I recently revisited the perfume in the fuller size and was more liberal with my application, making sure to spray my clothes a bit, too. My constant monologue? "Holy vanilla beans is this good."

I am in love. I think this perfume is perfect for fall and winter (not because it's heavy but because it's cozy and comforting), a snuggle scent. Even my 6 year old son remarked, "Don't leave now," after a bedtime story, "you smell too scrumptious." A lighter girls' nights out, I'd layer this with a feminine rose scent like Rose de Rosine Roseberry. Love, boozy, acoustic music, arousal. Buying the bigger bottle now.

LILY is a grandma with a crooked wig and thick knee highs who leaves lipstick on your cheeks and forgets to wear her bra. She calls men, "Sonny," and won't let them leave, pushing brisket and leaky carrots on them, hoping they'll stick around. They won't.

Just, no.

If you close your eyes and inhale, it smells as if you're walking the aisles of CVS or Wallgreens. A generic type of sweet powder that reminds you of polyester stuffed bears and half-off Valentines beside Johnson's "No More Tears" Shampoo.
