spicy lemon meringue
as the title says, on the skin to me this smells like a fresh lemon meringue pie, with a hint of spice in the background that enhances its complexity. it's an absolutely beautiful scent, but the sillage/projection is nonexistant and like many of the other reviews have stated here, the perfume quickly becomes a skin scent and then fades away. for an eau de parfum priced at $304 CAD for 50 mL, this is pretty disappointing. oakcha has a dupe for this (morning rain) that is a dead ringer, and is on sale right now for $51.20 CAD for 50 mL (usually $64) so i'd suggest going for that instead. unfortunately, this one also has awful projection and sillage, but at least it is almost six times cheaper!
artificial and lacking
i was really excited about this scent from what i had seen online, but when i smelled this in store i was pretty disappointed. i sprayed this on paper only; the raspberry is definitely there, but it’s painfully artificial. a lot of the ads were involving ice cream so i expected a creamy/sweet base, but that was just not there (makes sense though because the fragrance officially doesn’t have a milk/cream/vanilla note). the scent also does not have great sillage to me, i was waving that paper around in sephora like CRAZY and i wasn’t getting anything other than a light whiff, and smelling it up close just resulted in me getting a nose full of chemicals. the bottle is cute though!
