A Summer Afternoon by the Sea
Some fragrances smell like the sea. And some feel like the sea. This one belongs to both categories for me.
Sea Salt Caramel is not a loud summer cocktail, nor is it sunscreen on the beach. It is the calm expanse of a late summer afternoon by the sea, when the wind brushes salty over the skin and everything slows down.
At first, I perceive a salty, yet warm freshness - like air that has just swept over the sea water. Behind it, a warming, light sweetness emerges, reminiscent of sun-warmed skin. Not an aquatic cliché, but rather a feeling of summer warmth, openness, inner peace, and not having to do anything.
For me personally, this is not a party scent.
It is an anchor. I wear it when I want to ground myself. When I need space. When I want to briefly return to the sea - even if I am just standing in my kitchen.
It has something comforting, without being too sweet. Something free, without feeling cold.
I took longer to appreciate this fragrance - I bought it, sold it again, and finally bought it back.
Sometimes you have to let a scent go to realize that it actually wanted to stay.
