Fabulous Fig, Flowers, and Woods
I fell in love with Mossy Glen instantly. It spoke to me of damp, green earth sprouting springtime flowers in quiet forest beds. This fragrance felt still, but alive.

Mossy Glen opened dewy and green with a hint of delicate floral, as if the heat of the morning sun had gently warmed the forest floor. The heart blooms with fragrant florals without the slightest whiff of powder. Dry down brings a heightened sense of earthy warmth from tobacco and patchouli, supported by subtly spicy wood base.

I found Mossy Glen to have good to moderate longevity and projection of a couple of hours, becoming more subtle, but still long-lasting on skin. My opinion is that Mossy Glen is a quintessential spring fragrance of fresh, dewy florals and soft woods.

Scented Stationary
Papyrus in Acacia by Scents of Wood reminded me of softly scented stationary.
For me, this fragrance opened as creamy, fresh, and papery - dense, heavy-weight artisan paper. Dry down added a subtle resinous warmth to that creaminess.
Papyrus in Acacia reminded me of a less sweet Phlur Vanilla Skin with added depth and complexity.
I tested Papyrus in summer and think that it would perform better in cooler temperatures. Heat, at least in my case, brought out an unwanted added sweetness to the creamy notes. I also just associate cozy, vanillic warmth with cooler weather.

Modern chypre with butterfly wings
Papilio, as the title suggests is a modern chypre. It opens zesty citrus and green bergamot. Papilio's heart blooms with osmanthus and iris, adding a peach skin texture. The dry down provides earthy depth with patchouli and vetiver, while light, creamy musk ties it all together.
Papilio, true to its name, is a light and transformative fragrance, capturing the butterfly concept beautifully.
I found that Papilio develops better on skin as it stays bright and green on fabric much longer. Gorgeous fragrance with 24-hour longevity on skin. (Papilio was my first experience with Puredistance - the gateway fragrance to fan girl status.)

Contemplative Companion
Crystal Moon opens with a flash of funky osmanthus but within moments settles into a softly unfocused blend of peach/apricot/ dried fruit with an aromatic woody lift. It's heart is a gauzy osmanthus glow - airy, fruity, and atmospheric - never syrupy. In dry down, Crystal Moon shifts into a spiced musk with balsamic warmth. Projection is gentle and fades relatively quickly. Within a couple of hours, this wears quietly close to skin. My opinion is that Crystal Moon is highly enjoyable, especially in its radiant fruity-floral waft. I found this to be a contemplative, intimate scent that is more companion than statement. Lovely.

Uncommon and beautifully complex
Sagan Dalya opns dense, bold and earthy on me. A faint sweetness from immortelle and honey lingers in the background thought the development arc. As it dries down, warm tobacco and balsamic labdanum create an impression of creamy vanilla, giving the fragrance a cozy, comforting aura. Up close it remains earthy and dense - almost compost-like, but the sillage blooms beautifully to project a golden, vanillic warmth for hours. Sagan Dalya is an intriguing fragrance that benefits from a little space to reveal its full complexity and beauty.
