You Are Now Entering A Gnat-Free Zone
Keiko Mecheri HANAE is my idea of an excellent fruity floral perfume. The flowers and fruits are not wilting and bruised, and there are no gnats anywhere in the vicinity! This composition features yuzu in a clean musk base, adorned with light florality and, according to my nose, gentle white woods.

Although I'm not a fruity-floral fragrance type, in general, I love testing niche FFFs such as HANAE because there is little danger of what drives me away from mass market FFFs: no noxious "abstract floral" chemical soup and no rotting fruit. This composition smells perfectly natural and is very pleasant to wear from start to finish.

Like most of the KM creations I've tried, HANAE has medium sillage and good longevity. Recommended for fruity floral lovers--and also for those who have based their aversion to that genre on the synthetic, emetic nightmares brim with bht that are usually classified as fruity florals but are in reality filled with ingredients that either should be or are banned by the FDA.

A nice soft breezy floral
I didn't really like this one from the bottle and sample dapple. But when I put it on my skin the scent changed into a delicate clean floral.

I think the sour citrus and musk kick off this scent but once it dries down you can smell the floral and sweet citrus notes.

I haven't had many berry Parfums, but I do enjoy berries, I can smell a faint berry but it is not strong it is the white floral and citrus taking the lead on this one.

It is a gentle fragrance, I think it would last 4-5 hours maximum . I don't know whether this parfum is also worth collecting. I can't pin whether or not I like it or it blends in with all the other white floral scents.

Hanna and her Cake
There are fragrances that awaken a long-forgotten memory. Hanae is one of them. I just wonder what I am reminded of. I must have had a similar scent before. The fragrance feels so familiar and so pleasant.
So, I think, think, think, and suddenly it comes to me: cheesecake batter. That’s how sweetened quark smells, with a good amount of cream cheese mixed in and a generous portion of grated citrus peel. Wonderful. But am I perhaps mistaken? Schnuffi confirms the closeness to the pastry shop by comparing it to candied cherries. I like that.

However, the scent soon leaves cakes and tarts behind and becomes floral in a very interesting way. There’s some exotic fruit at play that I can't easily identify, but it smells just like canned lychees! It must be the Yuzu, a fruit from Asia.

Overall, I preferred the initial cheesecake aroma. The development of the fragrance into an exotic-fruity direction doesn't appeal to me as much. Additionally, there’s a kind of powderiness that comes off slightly smoky.

Conclusion: still a bit of an acquired taste for my nose and a tad too sugary.

P.S.: Thank you Schnuffi for the first Keiko Mecheri scent that I got to test :-)

A Virgin Love
This fragrance has taken on a very special place for me from the very beginning. I usually prefer either pronounced animalistic scents or (when it's hot outside) floral-fruity fragrances, but this one belongs to neither group; it's simply in a different scent universe.
Defining the scent by its components is difficult for me, as I have never smelled yuzu "live," but the way the top note "sounds," I can well imagine the delicate citrus blossoms. Right after applying, you feel embraced or thrown into a soft cloud, a feeling of lightness and tenderness. In the end, a similarly delicate hint of musk remains, which lingers on the skin for quite a while.
If someone were to ask me to close my eyes and simply describe my associations, they would be: a virgin experiencing love for the first time, giving her beloved the first kiss on the cheek, embracing him and thus the whole world; the laughter of a child that is as pure and crystal clear as a mountain stream.
The fragrance is definitely a mood and thought lifter, at least that's how I feel on these currently rainy and cold days, just close your eyes and take off...

Hanami without Cherries?
The black bottles from Keike Mecheri are a real eye-catcher, I think.
Do they look that elegant in real life as well?
So I searched at ALZD for a scent I would like and came across Hanae. It sounded interesting.
I like musk, white flowers, berries, but I'm not so sure about yuzu anymore.
Right after spraying, the scent reminds me of Hanami by Annayake, which is “inspired by the beauty and fragrance of Japanese cherry blossoms.”
To me, it also smells a bit like cherry blossoms, which are known to be white as well.
After a while, I find the scent very powdery, even a bit too much and somehow artificial.
Do you know those candied cherries that are not on my Black Forest cherry cake?
Unfortunately, that bothers me too much, and when that happens, it’s migraine alert.
At 139 euros for 75ml EDP, it’s certainly not a bargain!

Very nice, but very short spring flower opening. Then it develops into a creamy-soapy scent with a slight tendency towards dish soap.

White blossoms with fruity aromas wrapped in a hint of soft musk.
Very feminine, elegant, noticeable, yet not intrusive.
