(Re)Finding my perfect musk scent. 0

I found my perfect scent in the 90‘s.  I don't recall it working the same for everyone else, but for me, when I used Old Spice Musk deodorant, I would get complimented constantly.  It became harder and harder to find.  I later found out it was actually discontinued in 1981.  I have never found a scent I have been happy with since then.

Is there anyone here that can help me with a recommendation of what to do to fill the empty void this missing scent has now left in my life for the last 3 decades?

Thanks

Hello,

Unfortunately, this deodorant is not available where I live, so I can't help you find something exactly similar.

However, there are two types of musk: white musk, which has a clean, fresh scent reminiscent of freshly washed clothes, and animalic musk, which has a more robust, animal-like fragrance.

Based on these options, here are some suggestions:

White musks :

White Musk Eau de Parfum / Original Musk Blend No. 1 / Nothing but Sea and Sky / Jovan Musk / 1957

edit : I also forgot Mûre et Musc Eau de Toilette and Mûre et Musc Extrême, the latter one is pure white musk with a fruity blackberry twist.

Animalic musks :

Musc Ravageur Eau de Parfum / Musc Tonkin Extrait de Parfum / Kouros Eau de Toilette

Kuumba Made has some really cool, interesting musks:

Tunisian Musk

African Musk

Oriental Musk

They also have scents like Amber Paste and Myrrh & Sandalwood so that you can customize.

As Zavy points out, there are so many different kinds of musks, and often times they react slightly differently on different people. Sometimes you gotta experiment!

Hi,

I would suggest Black Musk Deodorant from this website. Black Musk

For the record (it doesn't seem the OP is active anymore): I've checked and a few people have been wondering the same thing, it appears.

The most frequent answer was JōvanMusk for Men Cologne. So, on the off chance...
