I'm getting really frustrated with the admins here to the point that I don't really want to submit new fragrances, or note updates anymore. A few months ago, I wanted to update the notes listings of multiple Fueguia perfumes, since they seem to have changed on the Fueguia website. I got so much pushback on this for some reason that I just did one and gave up on the rest. It was eventually accepted but I literally had to fight for it, and I don't have that fight in me for all the Fueguia fragrances that are incorrect on this site.
Now my submission (and others') for the new Gucci Guilty Love Edition Pour Homme has been rejected. The first time it was rejected I was still able to comment and that seemed to reopen the submission. Now I can't comment anymore. The logic given to close it was as follows:
In other words:
1. When there is a formulation change and concentration remains the same, it cannot be listed as a new fragrance unless there is a press release
2. If the notes are identical to another concentration, you can add a "concentration variant" rather than a new fragrance
Here's the issue: the new Gucci Guilty Love Edition Pour Homme is not simply a formulation change, it is an EDP, and it doesn't share any notes with its predecessor, an EDT. Now this is clearly a new fragrance, but after discussion for weeks (19 days to be exact), even though everyone involved knows very clearly this is a new fragrance, this was rejected. We literally have the Gucci website that clearly shows this as an EDP, with different notes than the EDT.
What am I supposed to do to get this accepted? Why isn't what I am supposed to do being communicated to me? Is the goal here to turn Parfumo into Fragrantica, with a few admins being the only ones adding/modifying fragrances?
