Love Is Everywhere
Gradually, the "Guilty Pour Homme" line from Gucci has indeed turned into a somewhat successful series, which (certainly not just) I personally did not believe after the first few flopped releases. "Love" is the new, green version, roughly a summer flanker. What can this limited edition, which spreads itself nicely on the shelf, offer?
Let's put it this way: it is a nice, refreshing scent. But it is not the next hit for the line. "Guilty Love Pour Homme" is a bubbly, sparkling vetiver sunny boy somewhere between generic and very pleasant, invigorating, sexy. A good hint of chemistry (swimming pool, sunscreen, mowed artificial grass) resonates, but at the latest, the bright, erotically clean vetiver backbone more than compensates for that. Fruity, citrusy, tingling from the belly button to the little toe. A decent, short-lived summer companion. It doesn't hurt anyone, and no one will miss it when it is gone and forgotten in a few years. Especially not those who have bolder, character-stronger colognes in their collections.
Bottle: great green, nicely frosty
Sillage: discreet and not overpowering
Longevity: this green fellow never exceeds a meager 4 hours
Conclusion: Pause for thought. A bubbly, tingling summer pleasure between mowing the lawn and the chlorine pool. There are prettier scents. There are worse scents.
