Now I've been back to Finland for a week and this Midsummer time is definitely the most beautiful season here! Here in Central Finland so many flowers are in bloom and it looks and smells wonderful everywhere 😍 Lilacs, roses, peonies, irises, poppies, daisies, bluebells, geraniums, thistles, violets...absolutely gorgeous, I spent the whole yesterday morning and noon just photographing 😁💐

It may be a cliché, but it's easy to see why Marimekko was born in Finland - they're so colourful!
I love this post. I will take some pictures soon to share! Poppies, elderflower, roses, bougainvillea, fox glove, pansy—coming soon!

Aaaawww how lovely 🥰🤗 I absolutely adore Marimekko!
Gardenias are blooming all over my neighborhood and I love jogging in the rain in the evenings and getting waves of their perfume washing all over me. I now kind of wish I could add Van Cleef & Arpels' Gardénia Pétale to my collection.
Here in the Midwestern U.S.: MILKWEED! Everywhere milkweed! There's a sea of pink outside my house right now.
They smell so lovely, and I think this year I will try to make an enfleurage with them (if there are enough flowers to do so). It's syrupy and heady, but it also has a bit of carnation-like spice to it... one of my goals when I started trying to learn perfumery was to create a milkweed soliflore. I would love it if someone got to it before me though.
