My recommendation is Nikos Sculpture Parfum if you’re into old school vibes.
I’d love to hear about something citrusy but not artificial like Versace Eros or something with mint and ozone.

Azurēe (2015) ! If you don't mind some earthy bitternes in the drydown, this is so, so gorgeous! Can absolutely be worn by men. Make sure you get this formulation from 2015 because they have now reformulated it as part of their overpriced Legacy line. This one is much cheaper (in between 50 and 65 euro's online) and way better, even more true to their first, original formula.

Unfortunately, if you want something cheap, citrusy, and “beast mode”, what you are going to get suggested is going to smell very artificial. If you want all of that, it’s likely not going to be cheap.
Explorer can be had pretty cheap at discounters, it's a much fresher not to mention longer lasting take on the 
Aventus DNA.
Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette the opening is nothing even close to Aventus but on the drydown it gets very similar and again lasts much longer. Aventus is smokier and drier while CDNIM stays a bit fruitier. I know it's a hot take, but I honestly prefer Explorer and CDNI over Aventus.
Encre Noire Eau de Toilette I know its described as dark but to me it smells very fresh after it dries down, and even better a few hours in, I can totally see myself wearing this in spring and even summer.

I don't know how I forgot about it, but 
Dior Homme Sport (2021) can be had for 75 euro, is very fresh, projects nicely and for a very long time.
