Submissions stuck in "new"

I submitted 4 fragrances in the last 3 weeks and they have been in "new" rather than "in process." I remember submitting some a while ago and they ended up in "in process" right away, so I figured the process had changed. But I looked up the rules and the submissions in the "new" category are defined thus:

All four of my suggestions have sources and two have actually been also verified by other users. What "basic information" is still missing so they can't go into "in process?" Or is the guide for the different categories inaccurate?

Same thing for me. I submitted one about a week ago and it went to "in process." I just looked and it's in the "new" state now. No comments or messages, so don't know why.

@Omnipotato I'm with you and @Smirky in experiencing the same thing - so I think there's a possibility the guide might not have been updated yet.

@Omnipotato,  @Smirky, @Gourmandgrl  I encountered the same issue. I found that deleting the "Source" entry and then re-entering the information manually resolved it; this immediately updated the status to "in process."

Yeah it worked for me too. I guess the way to do it in the future would be to submit it at first without any sources so it ends up in "new," and then add the sources so it ends up in "in process."

We just have a lot of suggestions at the moment. If something is still marked as “new,” it doesn’t mean anything is missing. It simply means no team member has commented on it or added extra sources yet.

With the current volume, the difference between “new” and “in process” isn’t very meaningful. Thanks for your patience 🙂

I’ve run into this as well and determined the easiest way to get it into Pending is to wait to add one of your sources until you release a draft (if that’s where it’s coming from). In such cases, you can easily wait to add official bottle images until it’s out of drafts so the system recognizes it DOES have sources already. It’s a funky thing but it’s been working for me.
