Frag of the Week suggestions

Are you curious about tuberose or pepper fragrances? Do you want to spend a week exploring grandpa/grandma juices? Do you want to try spite-wearing the worst in your collection and getting to talk about it with other users?

For the last couple of weeks, a few Parfumo users have been doing an impromptu note of the week in the shout-outs, and I've had a lot of fun learning about new fragrances and interacting with the active users in our community. edit: I didn't know who started the trend, but I was helpfully informed this was started originally by@IllParagraph so wanna make sure I give proper credit to the user who started this.

I wanted to partly move it to the forums so people just coming in can join in more easily follow along with what we've been doing, and lower the barrier to participation for anyone who wants to. I also thought it would be nice to boost community participation and poll everyone for what they want to do each week.

The way I imagine implementing it is to keep a running list of suggested notes/accords/genres/etc. based on user interest and suggestions in this or a similar thread, and randomly select 4 each week to vote on. I'd create a new poll thread that closes after a few days, and then that thread can be where we have our discussions for whatever the community voted for that week.  That being said, this isn't even my idea, so  I'm very open to changing things if anyone has ideas for how to keep having fun with this, or even if we want someone else(s) being the main organizers, such as @IllParagraph who originally started the entire thing.

Drop some suggestions below (or you can DM me privately) for stuff you want to vote on (can be as many as you want, but don't get too specific).  I'll make the first poll in a day or so as long as people don't feel too strongly about changing up how I'm proposing to do this.

You can suggest as many x of the week ideas as you want; I'm gonna keep a list on a spreadsheet and feed them into a randomizer, and the first 4 I get will be the ones I put to a vote.

Or if anyone has suggestions for how to do this better or make it more interesting. I don't want to be the sole arbiter and want to keep the format fresh, so I want to stay open to lots of different ways of doing this.😀

In honor of the upcoming benzaldehyde ban im going to have to add Cherry, Almond, and Heliotrope to the pile. I feel there Might be a better way to do this but I love the concept i wish you the best and I will certainly participate in whatever form it takes (maybe even a group instead of a forum post since groups seem much more active than forums!!) 

I love this idea! And the idea of creating a group for discussion.

some of these are notes that are hard to find! i only have so many things and idk how many of these icould do, but my ideas are incense, animalics, or patchouli

I like the idea of incense and resin notes especially. And Patchouli. 

Tobacco? 

I also have a bunch of samples I can look through if it's not a category I typically wear.  It would be another way to use them up. 👍
