E99-EsAns - Arab Perfumes Made in Germany!
regions. Oud is very multifaceted: some qualities can be repugnant, but with others you want to cry for joy. Apicius: Quality has its price. There is a flood of cheap Arab perfume oils. Some Arab houses issue perfume oils to the marked for the lowest price possible, and they simply are not good. Then, they continue their lineup with high-level oud oils that cost hundreds of dollars....

Fragrance tastes and how they change!
by master perfumers. My progression now leaves me with fewer designer scents than ever before purely because i cant fulfill my olfactive needs with them, but there are a few exceptions for example Dior Homme and Homme Intense, Laliques Encre Noire, Scent Story 24 Gold and Guerlains L'instant Extreme. These could all easily hold there own against any niche fragrance out there...

The Internet Trail
from that payment clue, you can then put that information into the Google Search and find the person who is sometimes on Facebook with amazing details. Clearly that helps. There is no hiding anymore. Besides that background information, there is still no guaranty about the product sold. Well, let's just hope that the small bottle of Guerlain's "Aqua Allegoria Ylang & Vanille" I ordered from a lady is in good...

Does Size Matter?
I would not suffer now. Generally speaking, in today's market, with the abundance of offerings, smaller sizes sell. The risk is less. That's my point. ********************************** Update - a few hours after this writing, the ROSE Flash is sold out already. Wow. Perhaps it was priced too low. Amazing...

Lost - gone forever
both. So, what I sniffed was an aroma full of soft flowers, with some depth but not the special aroma of yesteryear. Further, there was a hint of oil, an ugly oil, like a puddle of something that has been standing for a while. I did not utter the usual words when I have in my hand a really good buy, "now THAT'S a nice perfume" ... I was just tempted to wash it off and get rid of it. And it was mailed back...

products. Their noses have been educated and they are willing to pay the price. But the niche crowd is not large and grows mostly by word-of-mouth recommendations, on Forums such like this, and even then, how much can one buy, store and truly appreciate. I am willing to pay good money for a good niche product, but not often...

On the path to the Holy Grail
The road to success is paved with good intentions ... sample this, sample that. After I was excited about the Grossmith perfumes, I came down somewhat because, although exquisitely beautiful, they are not for every day wear. They can be sniffed and admired for what they are - pieces of art of perfumery. Especially since the formulae... Enter the new darling, M. Micallef "Art Collection - Rouge No. 2". What...

objects of our affection
Really. I was surprised when my widowed mother allowed me to wear the ring in the first place, considering the amount of sentimental value it must’ve held for her. I bring up this sad ring story because I have never forgotten my mom’s reaction when I told her the ring was gone for good. I’ve drawn on that memory on several occasions throughout my life when the need arose. When I gave her the bad news...

My Complicated Relationship with Florals
and I mean really depressed. That's becoming such a struggle for me, because if I am to eliminate certain perfumes from my wardrobe, or use them less, I'm only left with 3-5 orientals and chypres which I'm an all time fan of. Here goes my list of sad perfumes (some of them really good which makes it all the more sad): Original Formula Avon Today Eden Classics Le Jardin Reformulated I guess...

Keep Calm and Carry On Consuming
in the article from bewildered would-be buyers at Martynka.com) to not being able to buy the damn product already! (or at least to be permitted to exercise the equally satisfying flip-side of consumption, proving one's consumerist discernment by smugly-not-buying-on-this-occasion). But to be told you cannot buy? You could relax. The subtitle to all this is Keep Calm and Carry On Consuming. Because...

Summer fragrance frustration.
and then dissipated into oblivion. The scent died and I disappointingly mourned its loss. So, of course whenever I wear this perfume nowadays I re-spray myself about every hour. I have a feeling this perfume will last longer on me during the winter, and perhaps smelling like a tropical beach on a cold winter day will seem very out of place to some people, but I'll be darned if I don't take the opportunity...
