I eventually let my curiosity get the best of me and ordered some high end samples and decants, however, I won't give anything over $200 the time of day, not going to sample, don't care, it's outside my comfort zone.I don't know about other perfume categories, but in the sweet woody vanillic oriental category I have yet to find anything in expensive niche that surpasses what I already have. Wearing Samsara yesterday, I thought to myself, "Why in hell are you still exploring other perfumes?" Sometimes it feels like I've married the love of my life but still have an active account on Match.com!Also, I feel strongly that many of these high price tags are nothing more than marketing: "if we say it's worth $300, they'll believe it is."
