Skin.
Feminine-warm let-you-be-petted skin.
Mother skin, friend skin, desire skin.

Nestled on dusty rose sheets, rumpled, crumpled, a little chaotic.
Delicate flowers in the bowls, the curtain gently billowed in the wind.
Fiery skin, spicy skin, a last remnant of frenzy.

A hint of sharpness, of gentle and sweet.
So soft, so white, so far removed from any guilt.
Silken shimmer powder skin, like petals, roses on the pond, dew-beaded, morning cool becomes day-night alike.

Close your eyes, hold me close - breath-close, pulse-close, heart-skin-close.
Tenderness, sensuality, cleanliness - like a cotton cloud sheltered within you, a dream from long ago and never again.

A wink from Narciso, a flirt with "Dangereuse".
So delicate, so fine, so dark-pure, so lilith-soul-deep.
Always the same, never the same - and always, always again.

Clean Makes Fun
If you want to smell like you've just showered, then just take a shower! Nonsense, the great thing about perfumes is precisely the ability to extend the ephemeral and carry that good feeling of freshness with you for a while longer. Clean scents have seemed somewhat interchangeable to me until now. However, after recently discovering the fantastic thread by Peanut in the forum titled "Parfumos' Compiled Clean Scent Knowledge," it became clear to me that there is still much to explore in this area and that clean scents can indeed be quite multifaceted and nuanced. My current favorite is Kid Mohair.
Kid Mohair is the wool of the Angora or Mohair goat, and Kid Mohair, the fragrance, is part of a perfume line that leans into the theme of wool ("Le Vie della Lana" - "The Road of Wool").
The description of a fragrance enveloping the wearer like a warm cashmere sweater has almost become a cliché due to its frequent use. Perhaps the Mohair sweater isn't a suitable analogy since it sheds too much? In any case, Kid Mohair does not remind me of wool; it has nothing enveloping or cozy about it, it is simply a beautiful, nice clean scent! "Nice" may sound a bit boring, but here it leans more towards being pleasant, unobtrusive, subtle, and fun.
Yes, it starts with mango aromas that remind me not of real fruits but of the scent of mango yogurt or fruity fabric softeners and shampoos, which somehow feels amusing. As it develops, the mango transforms into a soft, white peach; perhaps that's the Osmanthus, which sometimes exudes such a lovely fruity aroma. The musk is never sharp but smooth, as if it has helped to gently and evenly blend the fruity notes into the base. And it does so until hardly anything remains of patchouli and amber.
After about an hour, a hint of rose emerges, and the playful atmosphere of the beginning slowly fades; it now smells more serious, very feminine, and even more distinctly like a fresh scent. It is a clear summer freshness, without cool nuances. Skeptics of this fragrance genre will likely remain critical of this freshness kick, but for everyone else (primarily women), it is definitely worth a test! Kid Mohair has a carefree aura and puts me in a good mood. Clean scents are for me like reduced-fat sausage; there remains a craving for more. But on some days - perhaps on those of olfactory saturation - less is indeed more. Or, since it is only perceptible from up close after four hours, one simply switches to a new, juicier fragrance at noon.

A Fruity Seduction
Since I perceive this fragrance a bit differently than my predecessor, I would like to share my impressions with you.

Acqua di Biella has dedicated this scent to Audrey Hepburn.

Kid Mohair starts off finely fruity, with a softness that immediately enchants me. This mango-mandarin dream runs throughout the entire experience, but in the end, it becomes a bit quieter and gentler.

Rose and osmanthus join in and perfectly round off the composition harmoniously, with a light floral touch. I can't detect any pepper. Nor tea nor leather. But that's probably for the best!

In the base, it becomes even more sensual, warmer, and creamier. It feels as if my skin connects with the fragrance and everything merges into one, interwoven with soft and woody musk threads. A very subtle, mild sweetness is always noticeable, though. Very long-lasting, but also rather close to the skin. Simply a feel-good scent to kneel for. Patchouli is only slightly or hardly perceptible.

A certain similarity to For Her, EdT, by Narciso Rodriguez cannot be denied, but Kid Mohair is much softer and not as synthetic.

Unfortunately, it's not a scent that can be worn by men; it's too feminine for that. I haven't encountered a niche fragrance that has fascinated me so much in a long time; in my eyes, it's a successful masterpiece! And despite the soft and pleasant tones, it's not boring or uninteresting at all.

I hope I could make your noses a little wet.....

The Great Gatsby
This work by F. Scott Fitzgerald, like his other publications, always presents me with certain difficulties.
Perhaps it is because I saw the film first and therefore approached the book with certain expectations.
"The Great Gatsby": no, not the film with Leo featuring the German grandmother in the lead role.
I am thinking of the 1974 adaptation, for which Francis Ford Coppola wrote the screenplay and Nelson Riddle received his only Oscar for the film score (now referred to as "soundtrack").
A film that brings to life the entire decadence of the late twenties, especially in America.
Jay Gatsby, a shady yet smart idler, is portrayed here by Robert Redford.
Robert Redford thus became the focus of many women; he has not really left that spotlight to this day.
The role of Daisy Buchanan, his now-married first love whom this millionaire oddball tries to win back, was played by Mia Farrow: very young, very fragile, very undefined, almost a little colorless.
Both dressed very elegantly, very cool in white and pastel, they appear by the swimming pool, at lavish parties with copious amounts of champagne and a lot of seemingly bored people, both elitist and pitiable at the same time.

After the loud colors of the Flower Power movement, suddenly shades of white and delicate pastel tones conquered women's and even men's fashion. It was worth taking a closer look.

From the colorful fragrance assortment put together for me by Angelliese, "Kid Mohair" stands out particularly.
"Le Vie della Lana" - the streets of wool: this is what Acqua di Biella calls a fragrance line whose name alone piques curiosity.
"Kid Mohair," with its perceived pastel colors, reminds me at first encounter of this mentioned "Great Gatsby."
A scent, so delicate and fine, mysterious yet radiating a floral freshness.

The pastel note begins right from the first appearance: mandarin and mango, both not particularly vibrant fruits, spread a pleasantly fresh aroma that evokes thoughts of sunshine and summer.
The rose, here not quite so dominant, but still very present in its beauty, meets the exoticism of osmanthus blossoms. These are highly valuable because the namesake tea hybrids bloom for just one night. During this night, the fragrant flowers must be harvested.
Pink pepper adds a certain spice to this delicate scent watercolor, which does it a lot of good.
This spice grounds the Ariel among fragrances a little; it makes it somewhat more tangible.
A relatively generous embrace of amber, musk, and patchouli impressively completes a tasteful painting.
This scent conveys a fragility that is rare in our times.
The delicate, fine touch of a valuable mohair sweater is captured here in a not overly intrusive, tasteful glass bottle.
I really like this arrangement.

The longevity of "Kid Mohair" is above average for me.
Since it is inherently a quiet, clean scent, it accompanies almost unobtrusively, in apparent simplicity, throughout the day.
You don't hear it, you don't see it - it is simply there!
It surely adorns almost every woman; I can hardly imagine it on very sporty, somewhat tomboyish personalities.

Thus, through Angelliese, to whom I thank here for this sample, I got to know a fragrance creation that speaks to me very much.
"Kid Mohair" is a scent I would very much like to add to my collection.
Just as of course some softly colored mohair sweaters to my wardrobe.

And sometimes life smiles
I stumbled upon this fragrance quite unexpectedly; a dear perfumer included it as a little extra in the scent mail package, along with other truly wonderful samples. This really makes me very happy! So much that I hadn’t noticed until then finds its way onto my wish list. Even better is when the respective "donor" seems to know what I might like - and oh yes, I do like Kid Mohair!

In general, I find it difficult to find summer-appropriate fragrances. As a lover of the vanilla-sweet faction, the search for something fresh and zesty yet somehow sugary often proves challenging. My compromise often ends up being "light" gourmands with a citrus or floral touch, so I’m not particularly adventurous in this regard. However, Kid Mohair manages to awaken summer feelings in me without smelling like a citrus vanilla crescent.
The sweet-fruity mango, which actually reminds me more of a squeaky children's shampoo, provides a cheerful opening that instantly brings a smile to my face. This fruitiness, which weaves through the fragrance in golden threads, initially reminds me very strongly of Cinema by YSL, but is lightened up by a huge musk veil. Fluffy and bright, it gives the fragrance a carefree quality that uplifts the spirit and simply does not tolerate bad moods. The osmanthus merges in a radiant symbiosis with the sweet mango, without the fragrance ever becoming too light, trivial, or childish. Much more, the musk, accompanied by a very subtle patchouli, provides a certain depth that tingles in the nose and grounds the fragrance a bit without wanting to keep it down.
And that is exactly the essence of Kid Mohair (at least for me):
A carefree, fruity-sweet lightness, dancing through summer rain as if freshly showered, enjoying life, without forgetting that summer also brings along a winter.

Velvety mango meets aromatic osmanthus meets noble rose meets sensual musk. Pink, feminine. The more exciting For Her.

Wow, what a fine scent! Subtle mango, so fresh on the skin - like a delicate veil. But why so little presence? What a pity :-/
