Al Haramain / Black Oudh
Good oil. A scent similar to Black Afgano and for fans of BA and fragrances such as Fortis, Cuirs or Leo (Rasasi), an item worth trying.
Everything that my previous speaker wrote is true and if someone does not want to drain their pockets for frequent purchases and financing Nasomatto production, they can easily smear themselves with this 'liniment'. You can always carry it with you, it is small, comfortable and essential. So you can safely dose often and densely.
As it is an oil, it sounds better on a hot body and in warmer aura. You can also mix it up with alcohol and after some time pour the prepared pledge into bottles.
Personally, I recommend it - for me this fragrance, as well as the above-mentioned ones, are captivating and addictive

Dark ... and Awesome!
Oud, Oud, and more Oud ... Do you want this? Or rather: Can you handle it? Both must be given, no question. You need to know what you're getting into and you have to be able to (endure) it. Best with a certain confidence. Yes, that would be advantageous.

You get Oud in abundance. Personally, I wouldn’t want to smell it on myself day and night (and given the longevity of this oily liquid, you will feel it lingering for days), but I love to just sniff it every now and then. A small drop on my handkerchief or something similar I find quite nice sometimes.

This Oud here is definitely gentle, yet still present like nothing else. Brace yourself for something! It is pitch black, like the deepest night, sexy, lustful, crazy, a little "dirty" and "grimy," simply filthy and ... awesome! I love it.

I really don’t need to beat around the bush much more. Just one more thing perhaps: In my opinion, the scent suits the gentlemen of creation just a tiny bit better than us ladies. But whatever works and pleases is allowed. So, no matter who or what you are: If you think you can handle this ridiculously awesome stuff, then GO FOR IT!

The Soul Reaver
Oud - no fragrance has been more popular & hip since the turn of the millennium. Even if one thinks the train has long left the station, masses are still boarding. If it is a trend, then it is a defining one. And the mysterious agarwood is always in the spotlight when it comes to how raw, pure, fine, and natural Oud truly smells. If I could choose a fragrance that comes closest to that, it would be this incredibly strong oil, Black Oudh by Al Haramain. Because no fragrance has come closer to the sample of concentrated Oud oil that I was able to test at the perfume fair last month. Leaving aside the origin & the various types, stages & purity levels of Oud in a semi-professional manner, please pay more attention to my fragrance description than to the fact that pure Oud smells exactly like this. There are far more experienced Oud specialists here on Parfumo. For me, however, this Black Oudh is quite the crowning achievement & a sort of conclusion on the topic.

Even if it borders on cheap advertising: 12 ml of oil for €8. A few drops are enough to last for years. A fine thing, great price/performance ratio.

Black Oudh is a fragrance to rave about & is actually more than just a perfume. It inspires & slightly intimidates, it’s a scent that deserves an elaborate poem from me. So incredibly dark, Arabic, masculine, wicked & sexy - one thinks they have experienced everything, and then there’s this. Oils have never been my specialty either & perhaps this sublime strength & presence is completely normal for them. However, I believe that Black Oudh also plays in the top league when it comes to oils.

Without further ado, excuses, or brakes - here you get Oud in abundance, in almost all its variations, some more hidden than others. The most prominent facet here is the creamy chocolate Oud, but without becoming overly sweet or sticky. More than dark chocolate, more than dark patchouli. Then there’s the animalistic component - slightly rotten, sweaty, physical. It screams for the world’s favorite pastime. It hits the female world like a black comet. Then there’s the smoky side of the fragrance - not incense, more like soot, campfire & the most expensive cigar. And of course, the all-encompassing woody impression, against which Encre Noir feels like a sun-drenched field in spring. Against Black Oudh, Fangorn Forest feels airy & bright. A pleasant extreme that appeals to almost everyone. Incredible!

Minimal drawback & deduction from the highest rating: no matter how versatile a note/a fragrance can be, it remains ONE fragrance without excessively long development.

Bottle: it already smells extremely - small & fine. With a kind of pipette stick for dabbing.
Sillage: more potent than a bull farm.
Longevity: for ever... ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever?... Ever! Oil & skin become one, after 20 hours it’s a sexy mass.

Conclusion: you probably can’t get closer & cheaper to pure & yet gentle Oud - what a hellishly dangerous oil! Black as night & mysterious as a legend.

The Cunning Tongue
The cunning tongue that only speaks dirty things and rolls around visually before others like a pig in the mud. The tongue that you can hear clicking when it reaches peaks... The tongue that licks all sinful lips and gets aroused when a few drops of blood land on it.

Yes, Black Oudh is not for pure and lovely souls - for this is truly a deep dive into the black souls of perfumes, surrounded by cool smoke - thickened animal notes, swirling resin, and eerily throbbing spice pods. Ash, which soon spreads out, gives the perfume a thick, black coating that clings to the head like latex and robs some of their senses. Wood, rich and firm in its appearance, underpins this as if heavy sins were resting upon it.
So it goes for the first 15 minutes and only gets blacker, deeper, and more sensual over time. The swirling resin skillfully caresses the nose while the burning ash wraps around the body like a snake. Smoke, rich and cool, hangs over the hot head, never moving forward, even if the wind roars fiercely through the area. Black Oudh remains steadfast and seeps into the body cells like a hermit. It proves to be a restless, black stallion that can no longer restrain its aggression. Yes - I like it!

After four hours, calm slowly returns - the black coating is far from crumbling, but allows itself to be caressed by earthy components. After nine hours, it becomes totally composed, and the black coating slowly falls away.

Black Oudh is like a cunning tongue that wants to frighten people but also attract them.
I find the stuff quite cool, even if not extremely high quality.
There are certainly better candidates, but if you like the nasty ones and enjoy ashy/scratchy scents, you should definitely consider this specimen. For the price, there’s really nothing to complain about. Longevity is really good, sillage - shadow eater!

And now I’ll let my tongue click around :D

DIY Store Version of the Afghan - Turpentine and Wood Stain as Accompanying Command of Resin Fullness
Yes, it is quite close to the "Black Afghan." I have to admit that I generally prefer the other Nasomattos less or not at all due to their extremely dense, nose-saturating, overloaded resinous nature.

"Black Oudh" is also quite closed and dense in its aroma. Slightly sweet, definitely very resinous, somewhat medicinal, with a subtly earthy background, and distinctly spicy, which comes across quite nicely oriental in the first few minutes.

And then there is a note that appears after about 20 minutes and unfortunately becomes pervasive and dominant - turpentine. And somehow also wood stain.

Yes, I am unfortunately reminded very much of the latter, quite biting, and somewhat gasoline-like in its basic style.
I can truly find nothing erotic about it, as I am more inclined to think of DIY stores and workshops. And there, sensuality is quite far away, unless your name is Tim Taylor.

Perhaps one shouldn't be surprised given the ridiculous price of 8 euros / 12 ml for a product marketed as "pure perfume." There can't be any oud in it.

Where the Nasomatto is extremely dense, resinous, milky, and simultaneously overwhelmingly potent, this Al Haramain comes across as more chemically pronounced, sharper, coarser. And unfortunately equally intrusive in its affected resinous-medical character. No, I find this overwhelming penetrance quite unpleasant and cloying. Not for me.

It was dark
Afganomond shone bright
Like a lightning-fast eagle
Slowly flew to the smoky wood nest
With watchful eyes
Now blind, enjoyed the scent

First deeply fecal and musty sweet, then it wonderfully develops into a spicy and peppery herbiness. You have to endure it.

Plastic-Orient: it seems to me that there's more synthetic oud in here. Still, it's quite interesting, even if not very high quality.

Absolutely not for everyone, but a certain similarity to Black Afgano can't be denied. Oud comes through beautifully.
