THE scent for 40+ ... °C
Man, what have we oiled this July 2019. Almost every perfume failed after 1-2 hours of service or was no longer properly noticeable because of these unbearable temperatures. Officially it was said: "German weather service confirms new heat record: 42.6 degrees, never was it hotter in Germany".
But what's the best thing to wear?
Fortunately during these super hot days the ideal scent arrived at my place, for which they are no problem. Is this perhaps due to the fact that 40°Summer is the normal case in the United Arab Emirates, where Al Haramain is located? It seems that way, because L'Aventure Knight is playing with it, yes, he's giving them the cold shoulder straight away! Here my tip:
2-3 sprayers on the T-shirt in the chest area do wonders, because immediately a piercing ozonically green sword splits the oppressive air and hisses a refreshing cooling effect into the olfactory organ. For younger people who may not know it, this could be a little shock at first. But I'm thrilled, this note reminds me a lot of the Vintage Cool Water. Although he always speaks of aquatic, hasn't this stinging power synthetics always been more ozone than aquatic, as we understand it TODAY? Anyway, I don't have the original CW at hand anymore, but the similarity of this note is unmistakable (I don't know Green Irish Tweet by the way).
But back to the fragrance itself: at the beginning, the citric top notes are clearly audible and share the over-fresh fragrance impression with the ozone in roughly equal parts. Then, after about 10-15 minutes, the essence becomes greener and a little more earthy. Is that the tea? It may be, but its perceptibility is reduced a little after about three quarters of an hour anyway, while the captivating dominance of the fragrance is reduced to about half an arm's length. Now he is really great of this Al Haramain, and after a good hour his base scores round him off a bit. Nevertheless, this tangy light green freshness peak always remains, wonderfully masculine, for many hours - less as a fragrance cloud than rather a sleek boomerang that constantly circles its wearer and hisses past his nose again and again. Simply wonderfully fresh, clear, transparent, whereby I can only detect a light spice, but no iris, violet and powdery notes, which is probably better for this great summer hit.
Therefore I can recommend L'Aventure Knight only warmly ;)! Not only because of its value, the great Sillage and long durability (8h+), but also because of the beautiful Cool Water Vintage kinship and its good layer properties: just add a hiss and the next summer can come - no matter how sweaty.
