CDNIM EDT in mature?
Foreword: I am not and never have been a fan of Aventus and Aventus-like inspirations. Nevertheless, a few dupes, as well as Hacivat and Cedrat Boise have occasionally found their way into my collection. I am particularly familiar with Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette, as I have emptied a whole bottle of it over the years.
Top note: a slightly harsh, smoky citrus note immediately upon spraying. Similar to that of Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette, but much more mature, finer and not quite as citrusy.
Fortunately, this evaporates quite quickly.
After 5-10 minutes, the fragrance remains constant and no longer changes.
It remains a smoky version of Aventus with citrus instead of pineapple.
It reminds me strongly of freshly smoked lemon zest, which I found as an ingredient in my gin in a modern cocktail bar in Athens. The impression matches the flavor quite well.
Pleasant, minimally sharp bitterness with rough smoked lemon, little effervescence, paired with a natural underlying freshness of flowers and herbs.
It's another fragrance with Aventus, but it does a lot of things right, if I had to choose one it would probably be this one or the Explorer.
Clearly more mature, not too sweet, no annoying pineapple, which is always far too artificial for me, and mature. Explorer for everyday wear and L'Aventure Intense for the evening hours in the cocktail bar.
However, if beautiful bottles on the shelf are important to you, you should safely ignore this one, unattractive scratch-sensitive plastic silver and a very cheap lid encased in rubber. Almost as bad as a Détour Noir.
