Rose-Geranuim Incense
Of course, the bottle is what captivated me on first sight: the black and gold theme is really eye-catching and I could tell right away from the design on the front that this would be an oriental. I didn't even realize the top was a face. Not being familiar with this brand at all, I did not even think they had god perfumes.

On first blast, I love this spicy rose-geranium combination. It reminds me of Perris' Taif Rose, which I love. There is a lot more spice here, and a synthetic edge similar to Cavalli Oud. The rose is most prominent of all but what I like most about this perfume is that it has a haunting incense which develops on the drydown and makes this perfume more interesting.

The price is high for what you get but with the bottle, I guess it is palatable but I would not call this a niche perfume necessarily, though it could pass for one.

At the Sultan's court
Imagine a night in an oriental luxuous palace: what are you going to wear?
A very elegant outfit and....maybe this fragrance.
Rich, exotic, spicy and well balanced, it's the perfect night scent . In particular, the saffron and frankicense notes give it a touch of mystery and a quite strong character. Anyway, talking about the longevity, we are far from the very strong and intense masterpieces like Ysatis and similar.( 80es are definively gone!)
The black bottle is similar to the Eau du soir 's one. the price is high.

The oriental sister of eau du soir
I LOVE this fragance. It is like a more oriental versión of eau du soir. It is more balsámic with the incense and the resins, but with same Green vibe of eau du soir. I have bought It because i found a good offer and because i usually likes It when i tried It on the perfumeríes, but as i already had eau du soir, i am not sure if It was a good purchase because i dont find many difference between both fragances.

The performance is great, as in most fragances of this brand, and the quality of the ingredients is very high, soir d'orient smells very natural.

This perfume is intense but at the same time keeps some of the freshness of eau du soir, so i think It is very versatile, intense for night use but elegant and fresh to wear during the day. I think It is totally unisex.

The Englishwoman in the guise of an oriental princess.
I love most of Sisley's perfumes and was very curious about Soir d`Orient. Eau du Soir and Soir de Lune impress me with their pronounced character, expansive sillage, and enormous longevity. I find the character and its recognizability to be the most remarkable. Does Soir d`Orient meet these criteria as well?

I experience a floral-spicy perfume that transforms from dark rose to a sandalwood note overshadowed by patchouli, but along this path, it does not set any highlights. There is no Aha moment for me. Nothing disturbs; someone has put in effort, done good work, the fragrance has a harmonious progression, but in the end, the perfumer was perhaps a bit too timid or, in my opinion, catered too much to the average customer. For a fragrance that carries the name of the Orient, it feels too European to me. But not in a European-French-elegant way, rather almost desperately trying to avoid offending anyone. Sisley is usually not so sensitive in this regard. Neither in terms of prices nor in their previous perfumes, if we exclude the Eau de Sisleys.

I give the fragrance credit for at least targeting women who enjoy intense and rather bold perfumes. That’s already a step in the right direction, as we have been shamefully neglected lately. However, these users usually also love the extraordinary, and it should ideally come with a bang. Soir d`Orient is miles away from that. Those who love Private Collection, Aromatics Elixir, or even Paloma Picasso can stick with those. In these collections, Soir d`Orient would not be a true enrichment. However, for someone seeking a dark rose scent with an oriental flair without the usual bazaar spices, but preferring a smoky-woody base, testing it would certainly not be a mistake.

Perhaps it’s simply due to my heightened expectations and simultaneously the perfumer's attempt to create a European oriental, but I give Soir d`Orient "only" 70%, even though the longevity is indeed very remarkable. For me, that is not a criterion at all. Since I can evaluate that separately, this point does not factor into my overall assessment. No, this time Sisley did not convince me.

TIME OUT
There is no sleep,
I lie awake and think. War, love, illness, family, future...the carousel does not stand still.
I need you here!
Let's break the rules. Full of energy, I want to taste the spice of your lips. To be unreasonable.
I don't want to cuddle, I want you to turn off my mind.
Let's be reckless and disregard reason and prudence. Just briefly dream with open eyes of oriental nights - warm and bright.

'Soir d'Orient' (2015) is a Chypre from the French house Sisley, which was taken over by Hubert and Isabelle d'Ornano in 1976. Oliver Pescheux - known among others for 1Million, Eros, Herod - was commissioned to create a fragrance that would reference 'Eau du Soir'.
This Chypre from 1990 is clearly recognizable in 'Soir d'Orient' with its clarity and objectivity.
The cerebral quality, the intelligently radiant aura that Chypres have, is revealed here in the top notes through lemon and galbanum and passed peppery to the heart note. There, under a light rose, clear Chypre vibes can still be recognized. But more and more, one understands the name of the perfume; woods and incense create the twist. A classic Chypre becomes a warm spiced fragrance.
In many reviews, 'Soir d'Orient' is criticized for this instability - unjustly, in my opinion.
This distraction does the fragrance good. To stay in the image: The adult and clear aspect does not completely disappear; it simply reveals a new facet of light sensuality and carefree-ness, a kind of time out.
This fragrance is not a bargain, but perhaps you will test it someday in the perfumery and remember that it feels good to occasionally (temporarily!) turn off your mind.

Initially somewhat shallow, the rose blooms later nicely. A oudy touch can be felt, also a saffron note. This rose is puple dark.

The oriental sister of eau the soir. It keeps the same EDS vibe but adding incense and oder resins which gives smoky & balsámic feeling.

It’s a rose-geranium-patchouli scent with bit of spiciness. It’s like plastic rose. Good longevity, not good sillage!

IndoPatch and Galbani, chest to chest. Little Rosi captivates them with saffron threads that snap. RoGeranie puffs sandalwood. It stinks and Rosi flees.

For me, primarily floral (dark rose), patchouli-spicy & towards the base, sandalwood. A tidy, European oriental.

Beautiful, dancing a bit out of line. Spicy, laden with saffron. Rose pepper. A bit smoky. A peculiar oriental. NOT a chypre!

Nothing with the heat of the night! A serious, almost factual scent with oriental notes.

Herb-spicy rose with a dry oud note, smoky and ethereal. Lemon and galbanum add delicate green accents. Long-lasting without heaviness - beautiful!

The base is Eau de Soir. On a wonderful peppery wood and incense base, a delicate rose with a hint of saffron emerges. Elegant and successful.

Very beautiful oriental for our region. Saffron/rose beautifully intertwined with galbanum and pepper, ending with soft incense. Unisex!
