Citrus/Woody Beast!

I've never smelled Tygar, but if it smells like Black Panther, it's a banger. This fragrance is a beast on my skin. It projects strong for at least 3 hours on me and lasts 8-10 hours and longer if you spray your clothes. I've gotten multiple compliments when I have worn it. Go easy on sprays if wearing in office! It really pushes out! All you need is about 4 maybe 5 sprays at most. Grapefruit is strong from opening and woody notes kick in about 20 minutes into fragrance. I guess the Ambroxan gives it that punch. It's pretty linear though. Great value, especially since Tygar is going for about $300 per bottle.
Update: After trying a carded sample of Tygar, Black Panther is easily a No-Brainer! I had both side by side, on either hand and the difference was very minimal. Of course Tygar was a little smoother, but Black Panther was stronger on my skin. In the air, Black Panther definitely projects more and last all day on me. So would I ever consider paying $300 for The OG? No! I'll roll with Black Panther again once my bottle runs out.

Black Panther:
A) has a horrible name
B) is 95+% of the way to Tygar
C) is 1/6 the price of Tygar or less

That being said, I recommend it with a caveat. Having gone through a ml sample vial of Tygar and comparing side by side, BP is missing some of the air and hair from Tygar. It is well blended, fresh, long lasting with a buttery sillage; however, it doesn't have that 5% of magic and sparkle that Tygar has.

But how much of that 5% is placebo and suggestivity? Likely a considerable amount. If you like Tygar's DNA and don't want to pony the cash, it's an easy win all day. The stuff smells great and lasts. Think of it this way:

You could buy a bottle of Tygar

OR

You could buy 100ml of Black Panther, AND TWO 3.3oz bottles of some Tom Ford from the discounters for the same price.

Dupe game /// I own several dupes of Tygar. I've tested this side by side with; Turathi Blue / Al Qiam Silver Lattafa / North Stag Expressions i UN / Sceptre Bronzite. I'll tell you now, Black Panther EASILY BEATS all of them. The grapefruit is at a point of hyper-realism far above what any other clone has reached and holds onto it as long as the OG Bvlgari Tygar.

Opening /// This is identical with Tygar, but with less ginger, which Black Panther seems to have sacrificed (perhaps intentionally) to focus on its juicy grapefruit. Black Panther still manages to capture that famous sparkle without as much help from the ginger's fizzy kick. This is prime compliment time, you WILL smell amazing, no question about it.

Dry-down /// Tygar and most other clones bridge the gap from the juicy opening to woody dry-down using ginger, which when blended with grapefruit becomes sweet and interferes with the ambroxan to my nose. Black Panther doesn't have that problem since there is less ginger, it allows the ambroxan's woods/metals to come through without interference. I've been complimented a whole 24 hours after spraying this on my coat (after a hug). That's the biggest DIFFERENCE between Tygar and Black Panther, honestly I prefer Black Panther's less sweet dry-down...seriously.

The Magic /// It has a harmonious duality that gives you what you need when you need it. In summer, my nose drinks in the wet grapefruit without being cloyed by the ambers that I know are there. In winter, the citruses step aside to let the reliable amber backbone do the heavy lifting. This DNA is special; the grapefruit lasts unnaturally long (good), the metalic/smoky ambroxan isn't organic (stay with me)...this perfume knows its not trying to mimic nature. It feels ahead of its time, you'll know what I mean when you smell this next to any generic freshie on the market. This pairing is brilliantly engineered.

The (only) problem /// The bottle. The square UK bottles look good BUT are fragile. I've lost 80ml of juice because the bottle slipped out of my hand. At least the price is very affordable, I copped more in one of Alexandria's many sales.

No other clones can beat it, no other freshies pull off its duality quite like it. It is minimalist, focused and elegant. That simplicity is beautiful > I'm giving it a 10/10.

Nice, basic fragrance

I've never smelled Tygar, so can't comment on how close Black Panther is. Black Panther turns out pretty nice - very pleasant for the wearer and people pleasing despite it's few notes and accords. Starts out with juicy grapefruit with the woody notes making a quick appearance. It's an easy reach type of fragrance that is pretty versatile. It shines in warmer weather but would work in cooler weather too. If Black Panther is anywhere close to Tygar, I can understand the hype around Tygar (but not for its price). The only guy this wouldn't be for is if you can't stand ambroxan.

Performance is quite good. Got about 7 hours until it pretty much disappeared. Sillage is great for the first couple of hours. Good value especially compared to the price of Tygar. Can highly recommend.

Finally times a Dupe, which is successful!
For me, he definitely beats the Tygar of Bulgari as a fragrance. Price performance eh unbeatable.. Perfect for the summer or generally in everyday life.
Smells very nice citrusy fresh, very light sweetness. Simple and yet so complex.
The only thing that bothers me a bit is the Ambroxan, it would be nicer if it was not so doll
