Criminally underrappreciated, due to a nasty 30 second opening

Interlude man is EXCELLENT
One of the best, and certainly the most underrated, from Amouage - a top tier niche/luxury brand.

People need to give perfumes more than one minute to rate them, this and Reflection are the best examples.
Reflection is a 10/10 during the opening, and drops off hard.
Interlude is the opposite.
Like Musc ravageur it kinda sucks at the start but you're in for a treat if you wait it out

The opening here is not great, it's almost gross.
The first 30 seconds are way too intense, @TwilightZone described it as concentrated overripe, almost rotten citrus - which is exactly how it invaded my nose.
Within a minute it develops into one of my favourites from Amouage - which is one of my all-time favourite luxury/niche perfumeries.

Smokey green incense, perfectly balanced by the amber-oud-leather.
The way Amouage uses spices is next level here - they take somewhat of a back seat, but round out Interlude into a perfectly blended perfume.
It's sexy, strong, attention-grabbing, masculine (would be especially hot on a woman in a suit)

Complex and unique, big deal perfume.
It probably is wearable during most seasons, but pls do not spray more than 2 sprays lmao.
Monstrous sillage and longevity - this will easily last 12 hours.

Spicy incensed big dogs like Interlude and Royal Tobacco are what Amouage is best at.
Reflection is mass market, lowest common denominator appeal. Mid.
Read @TwilightZone's review on this page, they know exactly what makes this perfume great

9/10, absolutely full bottle worthy.
