Only for a buying opportunity, otherwise ...
I expected a different perfume.
The smell is very pleasant, floral and with a touch of wood, as the name implies. So far so good, there are no mistakes!
Well balanced olfactory notes.

The bottle is very balanced and beautiful, but the materials on the lid are of lower quality.

The duration of the fragrance is the Achilles' heel. Poor longevity and little projection of aromas.

Good for hot days.

I think it is a perfume to try, if the price is inviting.
Otherwise, I will not spend money on it again.

In the Grove of the Hesperides: Today is Tree Pruning Day!
The phases of this fine Eau fraiche are like the cycles of ripeness and labor in a diverse citrus orchard. It begins with refreshing lemon juice, neither sour nor fruity, just beautifully fresh. Swiftly, it moves to the trees, where besides lemons, pomelo, grapefruit, and yuzu are blooming. The joy of the green splendor and the slightly sweet blossoms lasts for over an hour. Then the work begins at the chipper, where fresh citrus wood and petitgrain release their bitter-green aromas. The weeding and earthworks at the end are somewhat brief.

Conclusion: Madera de Naranjo is a refreshing fragrance water, so multifaceted and phase-rich that it represents more of a perfume than a refreshing splash. It neither annoys with loud, cheerful notes of household cleaner or Tetra Pak beverages nor bores with peppermint tea from the pharmacy or anise candy from the Christmas market. The strength of the scent lies in its ethereal green and slightly floral heart note. Longevity and sillage are moderate, but acceptable for a Cologne/Eau fraiche.

Clear recommendation for warm days! Nofretete uses it extensively in the heat of Amarna.

The search and discovery of fragrance love
I am writing this comment entirely because I believe that Madera de Naranjo deserves to be commented on. It is my second favorite summer fragrance in my current collection and, similar to Cerruti's 1881 Fraîcheur d'Eau, MdN ended up in my shopping cart purely by chance. I used to not care much for summer fragrances, let alone citrus scents, but you won't find the simple lemon here anyway.

It starts almost like the fruity note in Terre d'Hermès, without calling it similar in scent; this one is also much fresher, less earthy, and youthful, even though there are summer flankers that I actually don't know at all, none, I hope MdN smells different.

The wonderful, mentioned fruity note is soon joined by sharp, medicinal mint and anise after just a few seconds. It sounds negative and synthetic at first, but I don't mean it that way at all, because between the opening of Fiji orange, lemon, and petitgrain, mint and anise really set it apart from the well-known Hermes.

Towards the drydown, when mossy and woody notes flirt with patchouli, I am in heaven; at this stage, I wish I had the entire set of Schlesser's MdN, meaning shower gel, body lotion, deodorant stick, deodorant spray, aftershave, and EdT, just everything.

You know, I could close my eyes while sniffing and still see it: scorching heat, a light breeze, and from afar, the song of birds, a stream gurgling, and you can perceive all the fruits of the citrus trees; you can almost see them in front of you, you breathe in deeply, and out.
That is Madera de Naranjo.

The longevity is remarkable, bordering on exceptional, 4 hours to the devil, what a shame.

The sillage is so polite that I could cry :(

The bottle, on the other hand, looks a bit like a niche fragrance, but upon closer inspection, rather simple.

You will find it multiple times in online shops; embark on a fragrance journey and get it for yourself, it will enrich you. I have discovered fragrance love in it.

True to the Hermès Orange Verte model, this offers a citrusy mandarin daily with a green-soapy, minty & woody undertone.*

Very convincing AS scent: Petitgrain, mint, and orange are at the center, with a touch of fine spice and wood: like a refreshing drink.

Quite woody, bitter, and a bit orangey; like a little orange tree still holding onto the last shriveled pomelo. Too gnarly for me.

Pleasant but also fleeting citrus refresher. Due to its longevity, more suitable for occasional use. Citrus refresher with herbal notes.

Beautiful, slightly tangy orange scent... Ideal in summer during high temperatures. Reapplication is necessary though.

A hint of lemon and freshly washed laundry,
that gets lost in the dusty void.
Beautiful scent with catastrophic longevity.
