Aquaflor 1919. Character, Depth, and Elegance
This year I had the opportunity to get to know the brand Aquaflor in Florence. While testing some perfumes, which were all really quite good, one bottle stood out to me in particular. A red bottle that was sitting next to a cigar and a whisky glass. Curious as I was and also excited by the other scents, I approached the mentioned bottle.
I removed the cap, sprayed it on a test strip, and smelled. The scent, how should I say... It completely captivated me from the very first note.
However, since I wanted to be sure that I really liked the scent, I decided to test it on my skin. So, said and done.
Here too, pure enthusiasm. The opening on the skin is rather fresh and spicy. Cardamom, citrus, angelica, and a hint of wormwood create an elegant, almost aristocratic note that sits very well in my nose.
After some movement in Florence, the scent began to unfold its heart note. Saffron, rhubarb, and juniper berries. How should I say it? With every movement, I thought to myself: "Wow, what smells so incredibly good here?" This depth of the heart note was, without exaggeration, simply overwhelming.
In the dry down then, my personal highlight. Cashmere wood, tobacco, amber, and myrrh. These create a wonderfully sensual, long-lasting finish. Calming, noble, stylish. A perfectly balanced gentleman's scent that could be a "daily scent" for me. However, I feel it's too precious for that. I would rather wear this DNA on special occasions. The 1919 is a fragrance that definitely leaves an impression. It is elegant, mysterious, and I find it absolutely unique. I have not smelled a comparable scent yet.
Conclusion: The fragrance is worth every cent. Absolute recommendation to buy. In this scent, you simply feel extremely comfortable. :)
