Atomic Bee Women From Beyond
Bee is a deliciously campy, over-the-top, apian B-movie femme fatale honey trap of a scent. A real Atomic Bee Women From Beyond type of experience. Imagine, if you will, Jessica Rabbit, but instead of a slinky red dress, she’s draped in a slick, sultry cascade of golden honey, held aloft by shimmering wings, which is quite a feat considering she's a monstrous 50-foot tall intergalactic bee queen. Lusciously hovering with a dizzying buzz, she dusts a sweet, sticky, powdery vanilla and sandalwood pollen atop skyscrapers and military personnel as the city erupts in chaos. “I’m not bad; I’m just drawn from the comb that way,” she coos, delicately drilling her enormous stinger into the aromatic flowering summer gardens of mimosa and heliotrope scattered in a park at the city’s center. You realize too late as the air becomes suffused with the heady nectar of musky orange blossom water and ginger syrup’s candied fire that her squadron of sisters has breached the atmosphere, thick waxy clouds of intoxicating yellow florals announcing their arrival. The city drowned in pollen and pheromones, falls into a delirious stupor. Mankind, forgotten, dissolved into the honeyed haze, their last sighs swallowed by the incessant thrumming of a million tiny wings.

USDA grade honey!
I’m convinced people come on here and lie just to seem cool and different, because literally NONE of the Zoologist scents are skin scents. They’re all extraits and perform as such. Bee is definitely no exception. (I said this out of frustration on reviews I saw on that *other* fragrance site - IYKYK)

Bee is not a basic / vague honey scent. It’s a realistic, *animalic* vanilla-honey scent that literally smells like the natural honey that bees produce + the beehive + pollen. It doesn’t get anymore realistic than this. It’s strong, it’s sweet, it’s a bit heady from the mimosa, broom, and other florals, and extremely polarizing for good reason. A queen bee in all her glory and in her natural habitat, bottled up. Personally, this is the best honey scent I’ve come across even though it’s not 100% wearable all the time. This (and all the Zoologist scents) are the definition of ‘niche’ fragrances to me because the are tricky and challenging, but extremely artistic and beautiful.

It’s not a scent for warm weather. You could get away with wearing it in the spring, but early spring when it’s still crispy and cool outside. Definitely one for the winter and fall as it can withstand the cold pretty well. Insane longevity and sillage. DO NOT OVERSPRAY unless you wanna off everyone (including yourself) within a 5 miles radius of you lol. Obviously not for everyone, but I’m happy to have a low partial bottle of this and I’ll probably wear mine soon on a colder day spent outdoors.

Can´t get more honey than that
I believe that Zoologist perfumes are one of a kind, very artistic and made with a deep thought behind each creation.

Bee is for a good reason the most popular from them all because it is simple, sweet and natural smelling .. and even for people not used with Niche special scents, this can be a winning formula.

Even if there are many notes in the description and Cristiano Canali did a nice complex job in here, I only smell honey and more honey, but almost nothing else from the bunch.

For a honey smell, to pay the price for a niche extrait de parfum, I find it slightly overpriced .. because it is liniar and will start, develop and end with the same honey note .. and nothing else.

But for who wants a good mood scent, to spray for yourself and enjoy it in your own company, maybe with a hot tea or a glass of wine, before watching your favorite TV show .. then it is a good investment.

Give it a try.

One note: honey
I have been on the hunt for a fragrance that truly captures the smell that all beekeepers will recognize: the heavenly smell of bee boxes. The smoky wooden boxes lined with beeswax. The subtle smell of the honey sealed tight within. Maybe even the pollen and hay of the surrounding fields. Naturally, I had high hopes when I read about the Zoologist series and discovered that "bee" was one of the most popular fragrances in the series. I thought certainly this one would capture that special apiary magic.
However, what I got was an overpoweringly sweet honey smell. There is no subtlety or nuance. Honestly, I feel like I *taste* this fragrance more than I smell it. I don't know how anyone can stand to wear this on their body. I worry I would attract ants just having this in my house.

I kept it on my skin for a while hoping that the other scents people have mentioned would become apparent, but after a while I couldn't take it anymore and had to scrub it off.

The bees and their beehive
I've been wanting to try out Zoologist fragrances for awhile, ever since I started branching out from mainstream fragrance. I was completely enchanted by their branding based on eponimous animals and the numerous reviews on internet lauding their fragrances. They're also canadian and since I'm canadian... I had to get my hands on 'em! I got the chance to sniff this one during my trip to Etiket and brought home a small sample. The heat wave is over, temperatures are giving fall vibes and it was finally the time to test this one out on my skin.

I'm stunned. At first sniff, the scent is of thick honey, but not your typical general supermarket honey, hell no. It sings of a high-class luxurious honey, heavy and sweet, created with love by bumbling bees, collected by the hands of a caring and respectful beekeeper. 100% biological, locally-made with no pesticides, may I add. In short: it's the most photorealistic dive into a beehive that I've ever smelled. It's like sticking your whole face into the bee's home, inhaling all there is to smell. There's the rich scent of honey, but also the beeswax that's resinous and sweet. A slight tinge of animalic stands in the background, reminding you you're in an animal's home. Absolutely marvelous, magnificient, you name it. There are florals underneath it all that seem to peak out gently, but the honey and beeswax remain the crushing stars of it all. There's a thickness and heaviness to it that does not make it suitable for warm weather, but the warmth that this perfume gives off is so comforting and makes you want to bathe yourself in honey during colder months.

I can't pick out all the individual notes because this perfume is just so well-blended, well-crafted. The bottom notes end up being sweet and resinous, but the theme of the bees never wanes. If you want to smell like that sweet, sweet honey, you'll definitely find your answer in this superb fragrance. Full bottle for my collection it is!

Bees are here to take you on a journey into their home. Luxe, high-grade honey with beeswax, subtle florals and an animalic background.

Bee starts with a subtle orange and a very pungent honey / beeswax. In the middle, it's floral and resinous. Then benzoin, labdanum, vanilla

Smells exactly like beeswax, honey, and vanilla milk. Almost photorealistic. If you’re into that then more power to you. Personally not for me though.

After a pronounced spicy/floral sweet opening, this creamy oriental-floral Gourmand, slowly settles to a warm and gentle resinous-sweet base

Queen bee visits a metaphysical shop. Balsamic gooey beeswax floral honey sweetness — but weirdly, not TOO gourmand. Still yummy tho.

I like a lot of very unique frags that a lot of people don't care for, but I don't enjoy this at all. Very animalic. Rough. A huge no.
