Arte Profumi / Ecclesiæ

The scent of 2 worlds:
- a small, old church with wooden benches (pine) filled with white smoke of myrrh and sweet resins combined with
- a large, oriental temple with wooden buildings (made of sandalwood) filled with black smoke, the spicy sweetness of patchouli and incense, where the main lead is Elemi resin (the white, opaque in the photo) with its citrus-turpentine scent. Two sides of the same coin, two very different worlds and two very different fragrances ..... fragrances that have been closed into one -Ecclesiae .....

The smell is very complex, it is not very durable and I think having 100 ml is too much for the price, but taking into account the quality of the ingredients and the experience it is one of the best

Welcome to the Church

This perfume is, for me, a very well-captured church scent. It does not depict the grand, cold, ostentatious cathedrals, but rather one of the small churches where the pastor knows each member of his congregation personally, takes part in their lives, and where on Sundays no hollow, clichéd platitudes are proclaimed.

I like incense and I enjoy visiting churches while traveling. For me, these are a reflection of the history of the respective area, regardless of denomination. With Ecclesiæ, I find myself inside a small, old church. It smells of incense, candle wax, resins, lovingly arranged bouquets of flowers, and old wooden pews. The altar is adorned with an elaborately crafted cloth. Rays of light fall through small, high windows into the dim interior. Noise and hustle cannot penetrate the thick, old walls from the outside. A place of silence, tranquility, contemplation, and relaxation. In old churches, there is usually much to discover: wood carvings in the Ore Mountains, saints dressed in precious fabric vestments on the Spanish island of Tenerife, or even an ancient stone baptismal font on the Greek island of Tinos with an attached mixing tap and a drain with a rubber stopper.

Ecclesiæ is like a wellness fragrance for me. Applied in the evening after a hectic, long day, it can wonderfully contribute to relaxation. However, I would only use it when I am alone. As a sacred scent, it is as erotic as a rheumatism ointment.
