A snooze
I had this in my collection, but it was so bland that I sold it before I managed to post my review. It's been almost a year.
[Review]

Three notes. Patchouli, vanilla and orris. I am looking forward to an earthy, rich vanilla with an elegant powdery and smooth base. What I get is a scent like any other designer fragrance you grab from the shelf; boring. It reminds me of so many fragrances that it makes it blatantly without a personality, void of any interest aspects.

After dry down, the fragrance becomes a little dirty and herbal, like that of black tea. I don't detect any vanilla, but maybe just a little creaminess from the orris. This is an aged fragrance that doesn't suit its release date, 2015. I wouldn't be surprised if Elizabeth Arden or Estée Lauder had something similar.

[...]

That's it, that is all that I had written.

Temperature-sensitive Sleep Elixir
So Elixir Bois Sensuel is a fragrance that has given me a lot of headaches. I had to think for a long time about how to write a comment here, how to best convey my divided thoughts on this scent, and how to fairly describe its positive and negative aspects.
First, I received a small, pretty mini to dab on. During the first testing, a mix of
Angel and Le Parfum by Elie Saab came to mind.. Not bad, I thought.
Then I ordered the large 50ml bottle. Somehow, it felt different when I sprayed it on. Now it reminds me of a softer Wish, more intimate, and unfortunately, my skin seems to absorb it.
Most of the time, I have to spray it quite generously to perceive it longer. But not always. Sometimes it unfolds very beautifully and expressively on me with the desired longevity of 4-5 hours.
I hardly notice patchouli here; instead, I perceive a lot of warm honey and a pleasant, not too sweet vanilla note. It reminds me of warm honey milk, spiced with the pulp of a vanilla pod. I can't detect any iris absolute on me; perhaps it blends into the honey/milk/vanilla mix as part of the whole.
In the meantime, I believe I have found the solution to its capriciousness regarding longevity and expressiveness: I often suffer from circulatory issues, meaning my blood pressure drops, I get cold, and my skin is, of course, poorly perfused, with ice-cold hands and the rest of my skin also very cold. Worn under such conditions, it simply disappears on me. But after physical activity, after a warm shower, on warm skin, or as a goodnight scent in a warm, cozy bed, it becomes absolutely wonderful for me, just as I wish it to be. So Elixir Bois Sensuel needs a certain operating temperature on me to unfold optimally. Although it was created as a winter fragrance, it requires a lot of warmth from me, and I will then try its effect in summer; I am curious to see if it will transform from a winter to a summer scent for me!

Addendum, 2.9.2016:
I wore it two days ago in very warm weather, and I find that temperatures around 25 to 30 degrees actually suit it well. It is extremely beautiful in summer!

Honey Slice
For those who enjoy honey not just as a food but also on their skin, this perfume from Yves Rocher is a great choice.

So Elixier B. S. initially reminds me of a sweeter version of Wish, with a subtle hint of Voile d' Ambre blended in.

The scent itself doesn't take big leaps and quickly settles on the skin, revealing its characteristics. You get what you suspect in the first few minutes: a rounded gourmand, with very dense notes of honey that come across as high quality. A very cozy vanilla note joins in, all laid gently on a polished wooden floor. The fragrance is softened by gentle tones of resin. It feels warm, yet not overly enveloping. This is the heart of So Elixier B.S. Nothing entirely new and a thousand times smelled, but one must truly credit it with a very beautiful honey note that doesn't get lost in the overall tumult, as once suspected.

A really good oriental, at a more than fair price. Many thought it came from a completely different house, and some were genuinely surprised when they learned that this gourmand is from YR. What makes me less happy, however, is that the scent fades quickly, and after not even 3 hours, only a faint whisper of honey and vanilla remains. The wooden floor, on the other hand, lingers until the end and pulls everything into insignificance. For the price, it's okay, but I definitely wish for a bit more longevity in orientals.

However, for those who enjoy the three hours, you definitely get your money's worth. Provided you love such perfumes that are sweetly smeared around your mouth like honey. Enjoy those hours and wrap yourself in the scarf that you spray with So Elixier B. S. It's a cozy feeling that envelops you, but as mentioned, unfortunately, it ends far too quickly.

The sillage is average. When you engage in conversation with someone, a light cloak wraps around the other person, but it appears and disappears repeatedly.

For me, the perfume is a honey slice. Delicious, but unfortunately consumed far too quickly.

Coup de Coeur - My Special Recommendation
I thought I didn't need this one when it came out. Okay, I skipped the miniature and then tested it in the city at Yves Rocher. I expected a scent similar to Quelques Notes d'Amour, which is nice but didn't really blow me away. But So Elixir Bois Sensuel surprised me. I had a warm-spicy, smoky-intense vanilla note on my skin for a very long time, which kept drawing my nose back to it like magic. The scent is cozy and perfect for me.

On the YR homepage, I took another close look at the fragrance notes. They are described in exquisite detail. I would have taken them over 1:1 into the fragrance pyramid just as they are.

"Patchouli, woody notes, earthy notes, vanilla absolute, caramel, honey notes, iris absolute, violet notes, powdery notes"

Here, you can smell woody and earthy notes that could be attributed to patchouli, but they also stand on their own. The sweet honey-caramel note might be a characteristic of the vanilla, but not every vanilla has these notes. However, they define this scent perfectly. And the cool iris is warmly embraced here, supported by powdery violet notes. All the notes are among my favorites, and here they are beautifully intertwined.
At some point, I thought, "Okay, YR just mixed together 'Iris Noir', 'Vanille Noir', and 'Quelques Notes d'Amour' and out came 'So Elixir Bois Sensuel'." But it's not that simple. In my opinion, it doesn't have much to do with the other So Elixir fragrances. But you can certainly recognize the YR DNA. I like it, and it has been with me for a very, very long time. Longer than half my life.
Yves Rocher has hit the mark again. I think the fragrance will be a success, and I'm looking forward to this year's shopping week; then I'll finally bring it home with me. Test it...

In the Enchanted Forest, Baking Takes Place
I am not particularly adventurous, but I would like to make a detour to Iceland to walk in the footsteps of elves and trolls.

Surely the soft Bois Sensuel will guide me to the tempting woodland bakery, where the little folk are eagerly baking magical cookies.

A watchful shrew oversees their work - and she adds a handful of stardust here and there into the wooden bowls.

A plump tasting troll devours a cookie - instantly transforms into an attractive prince à la Tom Hiddleston - and gallops away on his snow-white steed towards an enchanted castle that can be glimpsed through the mist.

I also taste the pastries and am as beautiful as Snow White.

My fiery stallion outpaces the beau - for I want to be the first to reach the fairy tale castle, to greet him with my endless hair and wrap him up.

Patchouli and vanilla will enchant Tom - and the iris will make him helpless.
We drift on silken pillows.

What a beautiful birthday!

Bois So Intense de patchouli et de miel. YR's version of gourmand smoky patchouli. Could well be included in the Häagen Dazs menu.

Beautiful in autumn/winter. Cozy yet elegant like soft fine mohair. Gentle vanilla, warm wood, noble iris, sensual without much punch.

Small but mighty. Cake-like vanilla scent for a small price. Warm, soft, cozy, perfect for the current weather. Subtle. Very nice!

For me, it's a blend of Vanille Noire and Iris Noir with a hint of So Elixir...delicate!

Does it take more than vanilla, iris, and patchouli to be a good women's fragrance? Clearly no! It doesn't last long, but it's okay for the price.

A beautiful, flattering soul warmer for cold, uncomfortable, dark days. Not overly sweet, and the patchouli stays subtle.

In the opening LVeB, then Wish, and at the end Killer Queen... A sweet vanilla blast with amazing longevity.
