Turtle dolls
Today I bought Gold Musk blind, because I haven't had any bad experiences with Balmain yet.
My impression of this fragrance is not really bad either, but for me it is immensely important what memories and feelings a perfume evokes in me.
And I had childhood pictures before my eyes of my parents giving me - well-intentioned - two turtle dolls.
I accepted it only hesitantly and politely, because I didn't know what to do with it.
They had pretty but rigid faces - and their bodies were hard and not cuddly at all.
And the strange smell of dolls that reminded me of old combs.
I put the beautiful ones well-behaved on the sofa edge, and turned again lovingly to my cuddly teddy and my soft penguin.
"Bärbel" and "Gretel" remained edge stools up to my departure - and ignored by me.
And this unapproachable turtle smell I also hear in Gold Musk.
It may be the aldehyde musk mixture that gives rise to this strange note.
The other ingredients disappear behind the artificial fog.
Of course, it can also be that the heart of a passionate doll mummy beats faster with this fragrance.
