Druid Scent
My first superficial impression of this deep dark lady was: rebellious and challenging. Almost like a very young lady who still needs to finish puberty. Her prefrontal cortex behind the forehead, where the conscious self is located and which is responsible for action planning, emotional regulation, self-control, etc., is still under construction. Under the influence of newly formed sex hormones, old connections are severed and new ones are installed. And until this transformation is complete, there seem to be temporarily exposed nerve endings that have no connection to the brain, bringing along a bunch of question marks and uncertainty.
But alongside this first impression, there was something that captivated me, and I gladly surrendered to it. Since our evaluations of sensory and other perceptions are based on an unconscious comparison with known contents in our brain archive, I decided to let further, more conscious perceptions follow the initial quick impression. I took time and attention to delve into the scent's depths. And this extraordinary composition truly has depth.
If I had to assign colors to the scent, it would be eggplant, shifting with dark green, sprinkled with bright glittering elements, like snow crystals; for it is also a bit cool in its space. Cool and warm-sensual. But one step at a time.
In the top notes, bright sparks spray against a dark green, herbal-spicy background, it practically crackles. This crackling persists throughout the entire scent progression. Here, pure joy of life is sprayed. Wonderful!
What else is prepared in the dark, mysterious depths? That seems to be calling me? Nameless attraction! - The lady seems to want to grow up.
And she lures with fine flowers, they are delicate and powdered. "Just don’t become too sweet," she seems to say, that would be too big a step at once. She remains distant - AND attractive. This little minx enjoys this game.
And to better control the danger zone of soft femininity with latently open boundaries, she pulls a rough leather, dark brown vest over the blooming heart notes. "Better this way," she tells herself. Allowing femininity to run free without getting lost is something that must be learned. And that is exactly what the lady intends during the transition from heart notes to base notes. And the substantial longevity of the heart notes with the leather forewarnings from the base of over 6 hours gives her plenty of practice time.
Armed this way, she finally allows full softness in the base notes, in her emotional intimate zone, warm, sensual, touching, and open to all that is alive. Alive - yes, that is she. She affirms life and looks forward to everything that lies ahead of her.
This affirmation of life, this deep intuition of highs and lows, of light and dark within us humans, of soft femininity and its strength, seems to be the well-guarded secret of this Druid scent, which only reveals itself in its progression.
It grants powers, this Druid scent, life forces. And perhaps the name of this mysterious lady is: Morgaine? ---
