Ring-a-ring o' roses

"maximalist musk mirroring minimalist rose" statement from Balmain is spot on. cumin is adding a sensual carnal touch to it without getting into BO territory for me + smooth suede. though it does somewhat remind of Guidance 46 DNA in the drydown (sandalwood?), Carbone is a distinct, standalone fragrance. alluring and very potent. exquisite sillage. beautiful

Whisper of a Dark Gentleman

Between leather and suede, my heart doesn’t waver; I’m definitely drawn to suede, lighter, softer, and more velvety.

Carbone perfectly embodies this: a suede note expressed with airy elegance, enhanced by a subtle hint of rose and a dash of spice in the background. The result is enticing, sensual, yet enveloping and refined.

From my perspective, it leans more toward a masculine fragrance (I can’t see myself wearing it), but it leaves behind a beautiful, lingering trace.

Dark and velvety

A dark scent ( the name I find perfectly fitting ) , deep and powerful, with very strong leathery shadows overwhelming a just hinted rose. An almost primordial fragrance, which with its intensity seems almost to comfort and warm the soul. The enveloping aroma slowly turns to dust and finally, as if reborn from the ashes, the rose emerges, carnal and passionate.
Silky and sensual, like a black cat.
I wore it on a cold evening, and I must say I found it perfect.
Going then to learn about the nose...here comes Quentin Bisch, who, you may have guessed by now, literally stole my heart.
His olfactory signature here does not stand out at first sight, but then his style comes through.
I really liked it.

Ombre Nomade clone?

I am more than surprised no one said this is very similar to Ombre Nomade by LV - or any other alternative, you name it.

For me, it is more than interesting this one was signed by Mr. Bisch, since I do not think it is something even he consider as his "own work". Not just that, but current version of Carbon is nothing like the old one.

In the end, it is not a bad perfume, not at all. It is just - redundant.

Long-lasting Confident Sex Appeal

I received the sample yesterday, and I am thrilled! I applied it around 5 PM, and I just got up; it lasts and lasts... it just doesn't stop!
Sexy, sultry, rather masculine, but with the right layering scents, a woman can wear it too!

It has won me over because it embodies exactly what I love in a perfume: uniqueness, plush warmth, woody leather - it drives me wild!

With the warmth that has just set in, the warm sex appeal of the fragrance comes through even stronger. You also need very little!

If a man wore this on a first date... clear recommendation (I am super picky and fussy about perfumes).

A 10/10 :)
