A masterpiece in creativity

A super hyper realistic perfume of the moment the iron lifts off a cotton shirt. You get the metallic smell (but NOT that generic metallic note in every other perfume), heat and cotton. I was stunned, it really does smell exactly like freshly ironed cotton.

What is most amazing is that normally perfumes like this dry down to a fizzle. The initial top notes stay, it does not dry down to a generic musk.

If you're into niche scents its a safe blind buy, I'll buy a decant but don't think I'll wear it enough for a full bottle. Really fantastic perfumery showing what can be achieved.

Want to keep smelling this

First I got a sample of Hot Cotton and I could not keep myself from sniffing at it so I decided to get a full bottle. Good idea.
Hot Cotton smells like it says on the tin: like a hot iron on a clean shirt. This is what it does, it is incredibly realistic.
But it also smells like stepping into a tailor's shop in a cold country far far away, where you don't speak the language but you sense you are safe.
I think the smell of 'hotness' is due to the use of aldambre but that's not all of it. Designer Spyros Drosopoulos really worked some magic here. I can't recommend it enough.

Hot Cotton

A surprisingly photorealistic take on the smell of hot iron—not the steamy aspect you get in H24, but more like the dry, warm scent of freshly ironed clothes. It’s a fascinating and unique concept that I haven’t really come across outside of the H24 line. Unlike H24, there are no green notes here—just cotton, musk, and a subtle metallic nuance.

Performance is impressive, which seems to be a pattern with Baruti scents. This one lasts all day and even lingers on clothing for up to three days. It stays fairly linear after the opening, but the composition is strong enough that I don’t mind. Someone more familiar with aromachemicals could probably name the exact molecule creating this metallic-cotton effect, but to my nose, it’s primarily a musky base with just a hint of metal—nowhere near as intense as the metallic-animalic punch of Oh My Deer from the same line. This one is much more wearable.

It might be a bit much for summer, but works well in every other season. Honestly, most people wouldn't even clock this as a "perfume." They'd just think you smell fresh and clean in a subtly intriguing way. Baruti continues to impress me, and this one is no exception. It’s a must-try if you’re into avant-garde, anti-perfume territory. While I personally might lean toward something like H24 for more versatility, this is still one of the most creative and well-executed scents I’ve smelled this year.

Gorgeous

This perfume really truly smells like hot cotton. The iron, the steam, the warmth, the actual smell of crisp cotton sheets. I wasn't sure what to expect when I tested this out, but only is it still going strong on me 8 hours later, it's also dried down so beautifully. So many perfumes I've samples recently might last a long time but dry down super powdery or just a far cry from that first spray. Hot Cotton smells like it did hours ago. A huge yes from me!

The ultimate laundry-lover’s fragrance

I’ve been in search of a “clean laundry” fragrance and I haven’t stopped thinking about this one since I tested it in store. This is not just a clean, fresh scent; it is unbelievably realistic! It is so reminiscent of iron steam I could almost felt the heat as I was smelling it. It dries down into a very pleasant laundry detergent type of scent, but the opening of this fragrance is what really caught my attention. I don’t know how they captured the scent of freshly ironed clothing but it’s amazing. I haven’t decided if this is what I want to smell like, but something about it is so comforting. I love it!
