Spearmint and violet
Baruti is a small artisan brand based not just in my home country, but also in my home town. That in itself is enough reason for me to explore the product line. Support your locals, right?

Now, I don't care much for Mr Turin's guides as it seems we do not share the same taste. But when he endorses a perfume as "a lovely masculine version of de Nicolaï’s Odalisque", he has my attention. In my book, Odalisque is a one-of-a-kind green-white floral with hypnotic qualities. So if there is such a thing as a masculine version, I must have it. And so it happened, I got myself a bottle of Baruti's Tindrer.

With Tindrer, I get a light-green scent, that goes from spearmint to powdery violet. A fresh composition with a grassy and ambergris-y breeze. It feels remarkably fresh without any citrus. And even in the warmer powdery stage, the whole remains friendly green, well-behaved, but nothing bold or intoxicating. Nice, but nowhere near Odalisque, Mr Turin.

Nevertheless, I feel very comfortable in this green-floral position. On my skin, Tindrer acts as a dry-fizzy refreshing powder and I like that. It comes in an extrait concentration, lasts forever but wears feather-light. Totally unisex and clearly made for spring.

Can you smell colors...
... or taste sounds?
Can you close your eyes and see the colour yellow, for example, or blue or whatever colour you choose? I can do it. When I want to relax, I close my eyes and see the color green or yellow.
Sounds such as the violins in Vivaldi pieces smell of Italy and pizza with rich red wine. Imagination? Sure The Toten Hosen taste like Fleischpflanzerl, Max Raabe like Champagne etc.
Who forbids me to fantasize or tells me whether that's possible or not?
Tindrer's green, it can't be greener. So many different shades of green are hidden in this multi-faceted fragrance and are transported with cold or warmth.
The synapses dance up and down, like hairs in the neck or on the arm with goose bumps.
Green from every season. Freshly growing green of a meadow that awakens from hibernation and stretches out towards the sun. The green buds of the dandelion, which still keep the flowers closed like a mother lovingly embracing her child, smell bitterly fresh. On a rainy spring morning, on a hot summer day, on a night of November fog, a flowerless, green world lies in the air. A fern whose fragrance is somehow indescribable and unfathomable, yet still reminds us of freshly mown grass. Juicy and dry at the same time. Secondary shoots of the apple tree that stretch out of the earth along the main trunk. Earthy, strong, green.
Tindrer smells smooth to moist, dark to light and vice versa, looks hard, fresh, tart, bitter, cool, sour-juicy, and with the addition of sweet violet, white musk, ambergris and heliotrope, the green repeatedly drifts off into warm and soft, slightly sweet - mainly due to its own body heat. Balsamic pine scent, as if you stroke fir branches with your hand and grab them at the last moment and break 2 or 3 pine needles and grind them in your hand.
Wonderfully green and resinous like the scent of a little wood elf that floats several kilometres through its forest every day. Fantasy, projection of color and scents or scents in colors. However you want to hold it - or not.
Tindrer is a very beautiful green unisex fragrance and I bet it unfolds even more aromas the more different the skin types are. Tindrer is great to wear in summer and just as great in winter and every time it smells different.

A contrasting fresh green-earthy Spring fragrance, balanced by a clean powdery-floral base. Male-oriented. Nice performance.
