A Quite Successful CK One Alternative

If you enjoy the signature of "CK One (Eau de Toilette) | Calvin Klein," you might find One 2 Be quite satisfying. I liked this alternative quite a bit, especially since I once purchased it very cheaply at Aldi Süd. The longevity on my skin is about 6 hours with a moderate sillage. The original definitely has more power behind it.

The top note starts off exceptionally refreshing, aquatic, fruity, synthetic, and citrusy with aromas of bergamot, grapefruit, mandarins, and lemon peels. The heart note then shifts into a floral direction with a slightly sweet undertone. Here I detect jasmine flowers, tuberose, soap, freesias, green tea, but also a certain "cleanliness." The base is, for me, indefinable, as the fragrance then loses its strength. I can still make out woody and spicy aromas.

If someone should see One 2 Be for around €5, as I once did, they can purchase it without hesitation.

The Scent of the 90s

At the end of the 90s, the following 4 fragrances were widely popular in my circle: Cool Water, Laura, Tommy Girl, and... CK One. The main thing was to be fresh with a few flowers and/or aquatic notes.
I never owned CK One, but a friend of mine did, which is why I remember the scent very well. I had a deodorant from 8x4 called "Unity," which was also a scent twin to CK One.

To start with: I can't detect any significant differences between CK One and One 2 Be (available approximately every 6 months at Aldi Süd). The only difference is that the longevity of One 2 Be is slightly less, but I can overlook that given the price of just under 5 euros for 100 ml.

One 2 Be smells, just like CK One, initially citrus-fresh. You can clearly smell the bergamot and already the rose note. After a few minutes, the citrus fades for me, and the floral notes of rose and violet emerge more distinctly along with the woody notes. Nevertheless, it remains fresh and somehow aquatic.
The scent stays that way until it fades after about 4-5 hours.
I always associate CK One, and thus also One 2 Be, with the smell of freshly printed glossy magazines.
Somehow fresh-woody, a bit synthetic, cool, and somewhat sterile. As if a vase with a few flowers (roses and violets) is standing in an otherwise antiseptically cleaned white room or glass cube.

I find One 2 Be more suitable for spring and summer. In the cold season, I can't imagine smelling like this; the scent is too fresh for that.
I can also very well imagine the scent on men; amusingly, I have only ever smelled CK One on women/girls, never on a man. Which is a shame because I perceive the scent as totally unisex, if not even androgynous.

So... if you like CK One, stop by Aldi Süd and give it a sniff :).

One for Both - CK

With this scent from a discount retailer (it's an old brother pair), the manufacturer attempted to create a dupe of the great classic!

This raises the following questions:

Is it a good dupe? - Yes, it is a well-crafted dupe, as it is very close to the original!

Does the sillage differ greatly from the original? - If at all, marginally. It doesn't hurt anyone, it's made for summer and is pleasant! For me, it's up close!

How is the longevity? Summer, sun, 4 hours if it goes well! Well, of course, you can cheat a bit! Just spray it in your hair or on your clothes! Although I wouldn't want that with a perfume! It should hold nicely on the skin! During my last trip to Turkey, it did its job!

Would I buy it again? I think I got it for 5 euros ..100ml. That is certainly cheap! But I would prefer the original because I find the bottle more beautiful, and the original is just cooler! One must not forget that CK is now quite affordable!

I give it 60 percent because it is a dupe and not the original!
