Modern-Spicy-Incense-Youth
A fresh start during the first testing.
Very spicy, pleasantly sweet, and powdery in depth. However, this initial freshness is merely a reminiscence of its predecessor We Are Tribe and fades quite quickly.
The impression of a deep dark perfume emerges with elements of dried fruits that can seem a bit overwhelming for a short while. However, this settles down again fairly quickly.
Lying on wet asphalt, dressed in fruity leather, I feel. It is woody-cool, with a ripe plum nearby. It shimmers dark red under the eyelids. Well accentuated by the bottle's color scheme.
Peering at the fragrance pyramid, the herbaceous, herbal lavender reveals itself, which here embraces the iris in a friendly manner.
An elegant impression.
If anyone is worried about the licorice: it is relatively subtle here and much more restrained than, for example, in "Île Mythique | Chabaud," where it plays a dominant role.
However, its tasty spiciness is present.
Cinnamon remains sweetly dry and very subtle. It harmonizes with the sweetness of the licorice.
Resins, mint, and vetiver create fresh-cool and ethereal peaks that occasionally shimmer through.
I unfortunately find it difficult to locate artemisia, guaiac wood, and carrot seeds, as I am not familiar with them as individual scents.
We Are Tribe Intense feels familiar, especially after the dry down. We are operating at designer level here. One should not expect niche, but it does provide a fragrance impression that, due to its uniqueness in the designer realm, certainly moves towards niche. At least as an idea as such.
One should not expect a hyper-quality and totally balanced perfume, but at the same time, one will not be disappointed if they like resins, incense, and spice. The smoke here is by no means clerical.
I can imagine that We Are Tribe Intense may come across as somewhat mediocre to some. However, with the current pricing, this does not hurt anyone. One pays significantly more for a "Boss Bottled Elixir | Hugo Boss," which, despite me rating it as mediocrely well-made and feeling that something is still missing for me personally, I still liked very much and will eventually acquire at a discount price. And here I see a certain parallel between We Are Tribe Intense and Boss Bottled Elixir. Just in an Eau de Cologne or Eau Fresh concentration of the same.
We Are Tribe Intense does not impose itself, I have the impression. A rather discreet candidate, which makes it versatile for smaller spaces or close personal contact. This is also indicative of the effect of the sillage.
One should envision We Are Tribe Intense as a perfume particularly suitable for evenings, whose vibes also allow for greater versatility, but with a focus on winter.
One should not bring a dislike for synthetics. Here it does not come across as particularly strong or cheap. Rather, it is really well done, although towards the end it can become a bit bumpier in this regard.
The bottle is also well-made and detailed, just like its predecessor. Only the injection scar on the bottle cap and the fact that it is a bit too light is slightly bothersome. And as previously mentioned in the review of the predecessor, such a playful bottle shape is not attractive to everyone.
Personally, I like such curiosities. So far, I have not received any negative feedback about the bottle, rather the opposite. The bottle is liked.
We Are Tribe Intense is a deep, dark, pleasantly resinous-spicy, discreetly sweet-powdery scent for everyday wear in winter, with notes of leather and dried fruits.
Its application area is not necessarily limited to a specific clothing style or occasion.
The longevity and sillage are relatively low, but this can vary with different skin types.
I like it, and it would certainly make a great gift. Unfortunately, the Intense version is still extremely rare at the moment. I was lucky that Benetton suddenly had it in stock, thanks to a newsletter subscription that can now be canceled again.
It is indeed a cozy hoodie, and I am happy to call We Are Tribe Intense my own.
