The splendour of Normandy

The small label Maison de Parfum Berry comes from Rouen, which is the capital of Normandy. I had never been there before, but the scent should reflect the bright reflections and the special atmosphere of the sunrise at the coast.

This becomes apparent directly in the first nanoseconds after spraying: Éblouissants Reflets is a really delicate fresh floral fragrance, which is especially bewitching with lily of the valley and cherry blossom. In between a minimal trace of ginger and cedar, but the whole thing is finely dabbed without ever appearing intrusive.

Fits to the mild humid climate of Normandy quite well, but I ask myself, as probably many others also, what lost here in cherry blossom and ginger. They do not grow in northern France, but they give Éblouissants Reflets the right polish, although apples, cider and calvados would be more authentic.

The fragrance itself remains quite linear and relatively unsweet, with the impression of perceiving a slightly cool breeze that is spread over the morning dew and promises a carefree day. Although the durability is manageable, the positive impression remains in the memory for a long time.

One wonders how long Éblouissants Reflets glides on the border to the unisex scent. I think that young women or women who have stayed young at heart feel most comfortable with it, but Normandy travellers could see this in a completely different way, unspecifically.
