Not a fan
I’m not a fan of this perfume on me, but my husband loves the scent. I don’t enjoy leather notes as a rule, but always open to try a new perfume, particularly by such a great perfumery.
Initially, this one smells like strong pickle juice. Right afterwards comes the leather and motor oil, which turns me off completely. The scent does improve some, but I can smell leather to the end. In my opinion, this is a masculine scent.
Also, the name doesn’t translate nicely in English, but is of a sexual nature.
Longevity and sillage great.

The Black Kiss has seduced me...
During my last stay in Middelburg in Holland, I once again visited the beautiful perfumery 'De Parfumeur'. There, I consciously took an hour to sniff, getting to know, testing, and comparing many fragrances... and among all these scents, Beso Negro by Beso Beach particularly impressed me.

I was immediately fascinated because I don't have such a fragrance in my extensive collection. Upon spraying, I encountered a fresh, slightly bitter opening. Especially the green-spicy combination of violet leaves, cardamom (of course from Guatemala), and a sea-fresh, almost ozonic accord immediately appealed to me.

After about five to ten minutes, I distinctly perceived an iris-like, dry freshness. I immediately had that - familiar to me - association with paper or a newspaper. This association was not new to me, but very pleasant. It is precisely in this phase that the heart note of the fragrance unfolds: violet, iris root (Iris Concrete), cypriol (Nagarmotha), and patchouli (of course from Indonesia). Particularly, the iris stands out for me, clear, dry, elegant, almost powdery, and remains noticeable for about an hour. The leather note, a very subtle light suede, also begins to emerge here. This is the moment I love most about this fragrance.

Over time, Beso Negro becomes softer and develops into a very pleasant, warm-woody scent. The base note is characterized by Virginia cedarwood, ambroxan, sandalwood (of course from India), and the aforementioned fine leather note. This combination provides an elegant finish, which is warm, gentle, yet never too sweet or heavy.

Beso Negro is a fragrance that has excited me from the very beginning... and not just because I discovered it in such a beautiful atmosphere, but because it is (so far) unique to me. It starts fresh and spicy, transitions into a dry, iris-focused clarity that reminds me of paper, and ends in a warm, woody leather nuance.
I personally cannot relate to the association with pickles, as has been described here before.
The fragrance does indeed resemble Santal 33 Eau de Parfum, at least that is how I remember it. The Papyrus Moléculaire also starts similarly but then drifts into synthetic territory.

Beso Negro, the Black Kiss... a fragrance with character, development, and elegance, absolutely unisex with moderate longevity and sillage. For me, it is an enhancement to my collection and a true highlight among the discoveries of this trip.

Pickles?
I loved the scent on my skin, it consumed me afterwards. Until the moment my colleagues asked if I had eaten Spreewald pickles. After that, the words 'dill' and 'Christmas tree' kept coming up. Longevity and sillage are fantastic, but unfortunately not suitable for everyday wear in my environment. What a shame. I’m still craving it.

Extremely bizarre synthetic leathery floral that initially smells of pickle juice. A definite try before you buy scenario here.

Great scent similar to Santal 33, a bit more wood, same vibe, a touch more spice. Almost more pleasant to wear. Awesome!

Highlight scent of a cross-testing. Clean, mysterious, wonderful drydown. Very long-lasting on me. I'm thrilled!

I've rarely encountered dry wood so beautifully in a perfume. It gives me almost straw-like associations. Melancholic and Mediterranean.

Asked the woman at the next table if she was wearing Santal 33, but it turned out to be Beso Negro. Period.

Uplifted Santal33. Captivates with a cool-molecular veil, nestled in green sandalwood. Clean, bright, calming. H+S pleasant.

Green-resinous smoky start, then woody-spicy-earthy. I like the violet as a floral accent and the ambroxan fluff as a softener here.

The opening is very good. Very fresh and spicy and very unique. Over time, it becomes woodier and leatherier. Very interesting.

Green-woody, zesty, fresh. Metallic, cool, dark. Slightly leathery, spicy, bright. Calming, motivating, strong - all at once.
