As with many sweet/gourmand perfumes, there is a base of patchouli that I either like or don't. I found a bottle of this at a deep discount, so it was of little gamble. This ended up being an OK scent, but as celebrity/youth oriented fragrances go, there is almost always something that smells similar. Pulse NYC smells very similar, but not quite the same as, Nina Ricci's Ricci Ricci. This one is a bit sweeter. And as hard as I try to smell it, I can't smell the red velvet cupcake accord.
