There is almost no smell of cola

I managed to get a sample and tried it. It was introduced by a famous blogger in Japan and sold out in a flash. It's supposed to be Coca-Cola to Jasmine, but to be honest, it's a normal, well-sold scent.
First of all, it doesn't smell like Coca-Cola. Well, if you say so, it might be a little like Coca-Cola... That's it. Now that you mention it, it smells like the bag after you've eaten HARIBO's Happy Cola.
Then there's the amber and musk that are typical of boring designer fragrances, and it smells like a high-end cosmetics floor. In other words, it smells synthetic. If you're used to natural fragrances like Diptyque or Aesop, you might get a headache. I love the smell of cola, so I tried it, but I'm really glad I didn't buy a full bottle.

Really Beautiful

First of all: "Amor Amor L'Eau" reminds me a lot of "Euphoria Blossom" and "Noa Perle". Only three notes are listed here, but it clearly smells like more. Instead of grapefruit in the top note, I would have guessed kumquat. Because this is found in Calvin Klein, as well as in "Noa Perle" (which I unfortunately exchanged a while ago) in the top note.

Only vanilla in the heart note? And cola in the base? In my opinion, it's a marketing gimmick, because then it would have to be a sticky brew, unbearable in summer. But it is not. I can smell some vanilla, but definitely not heavy or artificial. I don't smell cola at all. "Amor Amor L'Eau" remains consistently fresh on me, slightly citrusy - but not lemony, a bit more robust - and at the same time pleasantly soft. I can also recognize a few flowers. Nothing more, but for a summer fragrance, that is completely enough for me. I need even less of an overloaded scent than usual.

An exceptionally beautiful fragrance for spring and summer. Anyone who likes "Euphoria Blossom" and "Noa Perle" should test this whenever the opportunity arises. I had a decant of it last summer and wore the scent happily and often. In the meantime, I have a full bottle of it and will take it out as soon as spring comes again. Until then, I will occasionally sniff it and dream of next summer...

So,

I was once again at Douglas. As I have been often lately. I really need to stop doing that. Is there such a thing as a perfume addiction????

I actually wanted to test the original Amor Amor, but I found that I like this scent much better. It’s somehow fresher and fruitier than the original. This might also be because it’s the summer edition.

And I think I can smell all the notes, even cola. Everyone I’ve held this perfume under their nose (literally) doesn’t recognize anything, but that doesn’t matter. Maybe it’s also because I read the notes here beforehand.

In any case, Amor Amor L Eau is a fresh scent for summer. And I treated myself to it.

Flamingos and Cola

Amor Amor L'Eau had been on my wish list for a while because I am a confessed Diet Coke lover and was simply curious about the scent.

Some time ago, I was with my mother at Kaufhof; she was looking for clothes and shoes, while I had no interest in that at all. So I spent my time in the perfume department, and immediately a box caught my attention. Flamingos! When it comes to flamingos and unicorns, my educated brain briefly shuts down and sends only one impulse: Buy me. So I snagged the Amor Amor L'Eau Flamingo, which comes in a beautiful pink bottle and an even prettier packaging. Fun fact: Flamingos actually smell terrible, how funny that they dedicate a limited edition bottle to them... But here, it seems only the outer values of these graceful creatures count.

Now I have almost emptied L'Eau Flamingo and would like to write a few lines about it. For me, this perfume is a classic spring scent because it is already refreshing, but also brings a lovely sweetness. I can first perceive the grapefruit, which brings the freshness. Then the ice-cold cola hits, and I always think of that cola ice in the cardboard tube that you push out. You know which one I mean...?

However, the flamingo doesn't really become floral or even vanilla for me - it remains a pleasant little refreshment in the background. I currently wear it constantly at the office because it doesn't disturb anyone, but you always smell so nicely groomed with it. Therefore, you won't find an absolutely spectacular scent here, but rather something different - because I do find cola sweetness unusual in a perfume!

Happy Cola, completely calorie-free

Amor Amor L'Eau is a cheeky, slightly sweet fragrance. The heart note (according to the fragrance pyramid) is consistently ignored by my skin - no trace of jasmine, no trace of rose.

After spraying, the cola note dominates for a long time (at least 3 hours). However, the scent resembles not a fizzy cola in a glass, but more that "Happy Cola" gummy stuff. Sounds strange, and it is. Especially since I don't like to eat it, but I enjoy the smell.
I also find it strange that no one (!), to whom I have offered my wrist for a scent test with Amor Amor L'Eau, has made the connection to cola or cola bottles - even though it seems so obvious to me.

In the dry down, a light, pleasant vanilla note presents itself.

Amor Amor L'Eau is for me the perfect companion for carefree days. For days when I want to go through life with a light wink and not take everything so terribly seriously. For days when I want to feel a little younger than I am.
