Chocolate wafer biscuits

Simple easygoing gourmand. Milk chocolate and hazelnuts cream wafer biscuits plus some white flowers, a bit of orange and mandarine peel and some woody notes. It is nice, not excessively sugary sweet and has a controlled sillage which I value as positive in this type of scents. Do not expect niche quality, just mass market product with a friendly price tag. It reminds me of an argan shower gel I used to have: warm and nutty, somehow milky and woody but starting with a fresh fruity side which kept it linked to clean. It is cozy and unpretentious. I bought a small bottle and I can see myself using it in spring daytime too as long as mornings don't get very warm. Though I must confess I really find the design of these line's flaçons totally tacky, specifically it is the lipstick sprayer that ruins all up. I was never into kistch style so I had to overcome my dislike for the bottle.

Quirky?

Can't decide if I want to keep it (after using about 10 mls). Hoped for more chocolate and hazelnut. Even some nuance. Mostly, it's cashmeran with a dry semi-sweetness. Also, I'm anosmic to it half the time. Truly, it's all or none--either I can't smell it or it clouds around me. Often, at inopportune times, like if I wear it to work. A bit schizo in that respect.

I do love Cacheral as a brand just for its quirky asthetic, and I see where they were going with Delicious. The bottle is fabulous. But the scent doesn't wow and I have thus ended up indifferent.

Chocolate gourmand

Yes I am delicious by Cacharel is a sweet and cheerful chocolate perfume with good performance. It’s very good for daily usage in casual context and it can be appreciated by very young ladies. Like a box of Merci

I have a weak spot for Cacharel, even if barely any of their scents work for me. Their legacy is certainly one to be respected. This might not become a legacy scent, but it is a cute one. The olfactory equivalent of a bouquet of flowers and a box of Merci chocolates. At worst, forgettable. At best, a sweet confection that brightens your day a little when you spray it.

The notes are straightforward, even my mediocre nose can pick them up. Sweet citrus and dark cocoa powder yes, with the sandalwood giving it a bit of praline-like creaminess. The choco-hazelnut base lingers for quite a long time on skin (8+ hours). I ended up clawing it back from a declutter/time-out box after emptying a travel size.

Lastly, the bottle. Tastes are divided, aren't they? But it sits well in the hand, is well-designed and sprays well.

Yes I smell discreetly delicious

I was in the mood for a chocolatey-nutty scent. In search of that, I stumbled upon this one and was very curious.
I had slight concerns about the mandarin, that it might be too prominent and citrusy, and that the cardamom would be too spicy for me.

The bottle is somewhat creative, but well… it’s a matter of taste. However, the plastic spray head feels quite cheap and wobbly when using it. It almost looks like it could fall off just by looking at it. I’ve experienced better sprayers, but it serves its purpose.
Okay, enough complaining :)..

After applying, I smell something chocolatey and the mandarin. I don’t pick up the cardamom (though I honestly couldn’t quite categorize it either). Floral notes then join in, reminding you that this is indeed a perfume, as they make the scent less “edible.”
However, if you only want to smell like chocolate, cocoa, and nuts, this might not be the right fragrance, as the mandarin and sometimes the floral notes do come through, and it is not a chocolate bomb.
It’s like a chocolate fondue, into which I dip mandarins, and next to it stands a fragrant bouquet of flowers. That’s how I would describe it. After a while, the floral notes fade again. The mandarin, however, continues to accompany you. The scent becomes creamier over time.

I perceive the sillage as rather discreet; I have to sniff at my wrists if I want to smell something, although I personally often have issues with that. Either a scent is present, and I can smell it well (and for a long time) on me, or I would prefer to spray again after 5 minutes, even sometimes when the scent is said to have good sillage (e.g., with Hypnotic Poison EdT). This one is also one of those 5-minute candidates for me, which my nose just doesn’t pick up well.

The combination of the fragrance notes works well, even though there are surely already plenty of such and similar scents.
Overall, though, it’s a rather nice fragrance.
