Anaïs Anaïs Premier Délice Cacharel 2014 Eau de Toilette

The fragrance opens with distinctive notes of pineapple, pear, and banana.

The charm of this perfume lies in how these unique fruits, each with its own strong individual character, harmonize gently without canceling each other out, like a "treasure chest of fruits."

Following these original fruits, familiar apple and peach notes intertwine, lightly bringing together the distinctive fruits into a cohesive whole.

Furthermore, the caramel base adds richness, and together with vanilla, a gourmand accord creates a light, poppy, and vibrant fruitiness, resulting in a soft and gentle impression.

A humorous and fantastic gourmand note unfolds. The impression of this fruit treasure chest gently bursting forth evokes a bright and cute image of a woman.

Some compare this to a "pear sorbet", but this is not what I expected.

It's not a pear nectar or pear juice, like what you typically smell in perfumes. This is the whole pear - like biting into the skin of a pear you just pulled off of a tree.

It's refreshing and unique, but the pear note is quite sharp and slightly bitter. This balances out the sweetness of the base, but it almost makes my mouth pucker a little.

For a more gourmand pear, I prefer Pear Crème Brûlée over this.

Today, I visited my fragrance dealer completely overheated and asked anxiously what refreshing scent he could recommend.
He handed me Anais with a smile.
Indignantly, I pointed out that I had owned this fragrance for what felt like a hundred years!
He coolly shook his head.

Oh, right - Premier Delice.

As if - what the farmer doesn't know, he doesn't eat!
I tried it - and a very juicy cool pear dripped over my skin - almost aquatic.
Memories of cold pear dessert - fondly enjoyed in my childhood - came rushing back.
This fruity coolness also spreads to the floral notes, of which I particularly like the hyacinth, as it doesn't sting the nose.
The cocoa note lightly dusts the fragrance - and oak moss adds depth without bitterness.

For me, a delicious - light pear dessert, appetizing yet not overwhelming.
Despite the transparency, the longevity is very good - a faithful companion in spring and summer.

A distinctive Anais - that comes to me cheerfully - and I like it.

This fragrance surprised me today. The original Anais Anais was not my cup of tea at all - I remember it as dominant, bitter, and classically musty.

Premier Délice is something for pear enthusiasts. It smells throughout the top and heart notes of juicy, unmistakable, albeit artificial pear. When I stood in front of the perfume shelf, I found it unnecessary to ask the saleswoman about the pear; it was clear to me that it was in there.
Unfortunately, it is indeed a pear cobbled together from a chemistry kit. Something we have learned over the years is supposed to represent a pear because this synthetic scent keeps appearing. A real pear would smell different (but surely wouldn't sell as well).
So, enough with the ode to the pear - the base is then relatively sobering. A dry, artificial wood-sweet something that smells exactly like Puma red+white woman. With a hint of synthetic pear.
Premier Délice is suitable as a first fragrance for young girls, sweet and juicy...but rather unsuitable for more discerning noses.
