Special Reserve Neroli
This review is for Castle Forbes Special Reserve Neroli, however the notes are the same ones listed for Neroli. The only difference appears to be the color of the box. I could only find one review for this, plus a list of notes and a description given by the company. I bought it based on these things, Neroli is a scent I love, and it seemed likely that this would be a really great one. I have to say I am somewhat disappointed. I don't know what is missing from the list of notes, but this quickly turns VERY powdery and sweet, with the neroli fading very fast. It does have excellent longevity and sillage, but with no scent of neroli or any part of the bitter orange tree after the first five minutes. What remains is a powdery sweet musk, pleasant enough, but not what I was hoping for.

Visit to the Flower Shop
Dear Parfumo community. With this Neroli, I find it difficult to describe the individual components. Therefore, I will try to "rephrase" my personal scent impressions.

At the beginning, there was a distinctly citrus-green note that quickly transitioned into a warm floral phase. Imagine walking into a well-stocked flower shop after a summer thunderstorm, with humid-warm air. Here, among the cut flowers (roses, lilies, daffodils, tulips), there is always a slightly green-resinous scent. This accord was subtly present in the background throughout the entire development of the fragrance. Some might say it smells a bit old-fashioned. The base note is described as "woods." In my perception, the scent becomes darker and rounder over time. I can't detect anything distinctly woody, but I sense a hint of beeswax and honey. (You sometimes get this impression with late harvest white wines). Overall, it is very subtle and high-quality. Probably due to noble natural raw materials.

This Neroli as a men's fragrance requires, in my view, a certain approach. This scent has nothing typically masculine about it. There are no edges or corners. Nothing that the advertising industry deems necessary to present as masculine. Why do I find myself increasingly drawn to this scent?
The chance of encountering someone who also smells like this is between extremely unlikely and practically nonexistent. And that is what makes this fragrance special. It is a kind of unique selling point. Whoever wears this scent does not want to smell like others.
I will intentionally refrain from giving percentage ratings. The pie charts will remain untouched.
In a radio show, I heard a conductor say that the highest form of recognition is not the frenetic and loud applause, but the benevolent silence celebrated with a smile.

... I find this scent good ( ... I smiled and fell silent ).

Spanish galley, the beautiful Neroli, anchors off Scotland's rugged coast.
One trades citrus for mastic and woods.

I know exactly why I love this brand: Cologne water in a Scottish style with a stronger, slightly creamy neroli note: exquisite!

Very potent and woven with a darker citrus, here Neroli rests on a shady, damp base of slightly herbaceous wood.

Less fresh and green than expected. Somehow the neroli has a patch vibe, just like the India boutique. The wood gets a bit overshadowed.

Not just any Neroli, THIS is the Neroli. Pure, undiluted, floral-fruity-fresh, and truly something special!

One of the most floral, warm, and quirky men's fragrances. This is what quality smells like. Take your time with it.

Beautiful and green neroli scent. I miss the woody base. Perfect for layering with Molecule 01!

Very intense beautiful neroli scent, very soapy, a woody incense note joins relatively early.

Neroli pure. If you like Neroli, you can't go wrong with this scent. S/D is fine.

Powerful neroli presence with long-lasting strength / I must admit I also layer it with cap neroli
which makes it even more sophisticated.
