I hate this.... 7 bottles later
So the title is definitely not clickbait. When I first got this frag it was in 2020 based on Chaos Fragrance's recommendation. When I got it and applied, I thought it smelled quite weird and synthetic, but I was watching more positive reviews to reduce buyer's remorse and decided to keep it.
Surprisingly, this was my very first compliment getter, so that gave me more reason to keep it. However, every time I spray it, I have to convince myself it smells good. Now that--is a major sign that you actually don't enjoy what you're wearing
Long story short, I sold it eventually. However, repurchased it based on another fragrance reviewer "Early Greek". Then the same story happened. Then I repurchased it again based on ATH's review, then sold it. Then repurchased it again based on AC Smells Good's review, then sold it again...........LOL the cycle repeats.
One day as I was wearing it, mentally toughing myself to think this smells good, I was like... WTF am I doing this? Such an abusive relationship. And I got rid of it for good.
I think this is a testament to the power of fragrance reviewers and how something that supposedly smells good to everybody else puts tremendous pressure on you to feel the need to agree and "get your taste up to their levels". But I want to say something very honest about this particular frag:
WHAT A CHEAP , SOUR AND STERILE SMELLING MESS! Now I consider myself having a good taste in perfumery since I can appreciate Habit Rouge and Chanel No 5 edt and the likes. But PE represents really the blue fragrance before blue fragrances came about. It is uninspiring. Now, I wish the lavender comes through more but for the majority of this fragrance you smell this watery geranium that smells like ammonia-drenched plastic. I also don't get ANY sandalwood or amber. Sometimes when the days are favorable the lavender peaks through and I can genuinely enjoy it for a few seconds before that geranium takes over.
So you are warned, traveler, please think twice about jumping on the hype train and buy this. As someone who has had and sold 7 bottles, I can proudly say, this sh"t sucks.
