Die faszinierende (the fascinating)
This is how class speaks: by intrigue. A language translated in scent by a sophistication unlike any other.
Never I found in 27 years of hard search such a unique, beguiling fragrance. A true beauty, as in a masterpiece of perfumery.

Unlike for her more mature sister (the EDP), here the hawthorn is substituted by tuberose, the nutmeg by cardamom, the violet leaf by violet. The main accord plays again a highly über feminine violet/leather combo. Slightly sharper than in her sister, though not so long lived. Tuberose is demure, ambrette timid; the accent is on astounding balance.

Hats off to Jil Sander for achieving poetry in scent. I'm beguiled, entranced, spellbound at first spray. The world stood still for a moment like an eternity while at first spray I stepped into another dimension, in the dream of dreams. I've waited over 2 decades for this moment of utter fulfillment, since the creation of my beloved Angel.
Simply now contends my heart with Angel.

At the polar opposite with each other's nature, I am not sure I can choose: there's something about them both which tags at my core.
This will be a dance of dreams from now on. Boy, I am in LOVE.

NOTE: If you are not in awe of Fahrenheit, don't even test this. It's his younger, sassy, demanding sister. This babe takes no prisoners, she's a badass, though a younger girl. And has class to spare.

Sometimes simple can just be good!
So… I have a question for you:
How can you recognize a perfumer or a perfume in a fragrance store? I mean a "normal" perfumer, not me… because you can easily recognize me as I scream and flee dramatically from the women's section…!

The answer is quite simple: When they seem to lose interest in most mainstream fragrances! That sounds harsh and maybe it seems like we've all become a bit snobbish, but the search for new scents sometimes leads us (often perhaps even unconsciously) so far away from the common perfumes sold in "normal" stores that we risk missing out on great fragrances among these so-called mainstreamers, like this Simply by Jil Sander here.

Because this one is a fragrance that sits lightly on the skin, smells nice with floral and sweet notes mixed with some green and leather notes, and thus comes across quite nicely in summer. Therefore, I say we should keep our eyes open and inspect the shelves in those, well, as I said, "normal" stores a bit more closely. But maybe not too closely… otherwise you might actually see me trying to discreetly spray on a women's fragrance like this one and then quickly make my escape. And that could be a bit disturbing and… hmm… let’s say “strange,” noooo! :D

The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts sweet and lightly fruity-floral fresh. You can smell the pear mentioned, which I find pleasantly fragrant. The sweetness must come from the ambrette seeds. And since I also perceive a slightly herbaceous green note, I suspect it’s the galbanum, even though I honestly never quite know how galbanum really smells (but based on the process of elimination, it should be galbanum in my opinion :D).
Cardamom is (unfortunately) also noticeable almost from the start, and it smells as if it were combined with coriander. Well, coriander isn’t really in there, so this impression isn’t too terrible, but you can definitely smell the cardamom, which isn’t to everyone’s taste. I don’t particularly like it either, but the other fragrance notes that smell nicer are predominant. And, um… somehow it seems like I complained too early, because while I was writing all this, the fragrance became even more beautiful as the annoying cardamom has faded significantly… :DD
Anyway, it soon smells floral-sweet, the fruitiness of the pear is still present but is fading more and more. The floral notes come from both the tuberoses and the violets, but since the fragrance also has a rather powdery background, I find that the violets can be perceived much more clearly. This stays that way for a short while until a bit of soft leather appears, which fits quite well with the sweet and powdery notes, making the leather seem soft as well, almost like suede.
The fragrance remains this way for a while (although the sweetness initially increases a bit later, then naturally decreases again), however, in the later base, a few synthetic notes become noticeable, which I don’t really find bad since the majority of the fragrance is quite nice and you can simply reapply it later in the evening. Besides, the later base is noticeably earthier, which could be due to the patchouli.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is okay, neither particularly high nor very low. It will be noticeable for a while.
The longevity is also okay, meaning that the fragrance can be smelled reasonably well for six or seven hours.

The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical and has a thick base. The upper part of the bottle is white and opaque, with the name of the fragrance written in gold lettering. The neck is also gilded, on which the white and cylindrical cap sits. On the top side of the cap, there is a transparent disc, allowing you to see the inside of the cap, where a small support for this disc has been placed, on which the golden brand name is printed. A very nice and handy bottle.

Hmm, I really enjoy sniffing through all kinds of fragrances. Even the mainstreamers become "victims of my olfactory bulb" :D
Of course, I don’t like all of these fragrances, but it’s always worth it to sniff around a bit. You can discover great perfumes among the affordable ones that are definitely worth recommending. Just like this Simply here.

It simply smells beautiful with powdery floral notes, a pleasant but not overwhelming sweetness, and light leather notes. Thus, it is a lovely, everyday wearable fragrance for the warm seasons, which I think is worth a look. Of course, everyone has their preferences and dislikes, but you shouldn’t immediately dismiss a fragrance just because it’s mainstream or you think the fragrance line isn’t worth it. Otherwise, you might miss out on something nice :)
So it turned out better than one might think!

Oh yes, even though this fragrance was in the women's section, it was easy for me to test it since directly behind it in the same row was a shelf with men's fragrances, so I just had to take the bottle and take two steps back to spray it on from the men's fragrances, mu ha ha ha! *sigh* Why can't it always be that easy??... :DD

Subtle Sweetness...
I have to agree with my predecessors - I also find the EDT rounder and lighter compared to the EDP. The longevity is still quite decent. I can perceive the scent on my skin for a good 6-7 hours. However, what excites me the most about this fragrance is the sweetness, which comes across very lightly and innocently and does not overwhelm. I have always liked vanilla scents, and amber has also captivated me. However, many fragrances with these ingredients are too sweet for me or even cause headaches. Therefore, I prefer the spicier counterparts, which often belong to the unisex category (e.g., D&G La Force).
With the Simply EdT, however, the sweetness is very balanced. The scent can therefore be worn well during the day and at work without bothering others^^ The pear brings the necessary freshness, and the cardamom adds a subtle spicy accent. Vanilla and patchouli round off the fragrance warmly and linger the longest on the skin. I would describe the scent as both alluring and subtle.
I also noticed that the fragrance attracts men like flies^^ From my collection, it is the perfume for which I receive the most compliments. Even for my two male roommates, whom I often ask for their opinions and assessments, this scent is still the favorite (my bottle is already half empty).
So, if you are a fan of amber and vanilla scents but are looking for a lighter version for everyday wear, you should definitely give this a try. I also find it very suitable for dates where you don’t want to overwhelm your counterpart with a monster sillage :)

Everyday Companion
I am a fan of the first fragrance and find this version a bit lighter and more radiant, but otherwise like the EdP, which was sometimes a bit too intense for me.

The scent developed for me as follows: first clearly noticeable, then very soft and delicate, hardly detectable, then stronger again. I sprayed it on earlier in the evening and noticed it distinctly upon waking in the morning. This is a fragrance that should never come off as wrong for me, pleasant, unobtrusive, discreet - suitable for any situation. Not a scent that overwhelms me with its presence, but one that I like to have around for the long term, like a light, soft favorite jacket.

lovely violet
I admit that I had some difficulties with the EDP at first, as the violet was quite dominant, making me feel a bit dizzy and violet-blue.
But this overwhelming start settled down after about an hour, and I ended up purchasing the fragrance.

Fortunately, the EdT does not have such pretensions.

The violet is clearly noticeable, but it is fresher and more delightful than in the EdP.
Just the way I like it.
The ambrette seed adds a smooth creaminess, and the tuberose fits in harmoniously.
The leather note is also softer and is finely rounded off with vanilla.

It’s as if a breeze has passed through the EdP - but thankfully, the longevity is not affected.
The scent remains full - with a certain freshness.

I find the EdT to be more balanced than the EdP, which had to calm down on my skin first.

The more pleasing, because tamer EdT is now also on my wish list.
P.S. It has now moved in with me.

Oh yes, that was urgently needed, the weaker version of a barely noticeable perfume.

I want to gift myself flowers when I wear it; so feminine, elegant, yet a bit boyish; enchanting and well-groomed sexy.

Ideal office scent with a delicate "freshly showered" opening and a subtle woody finish. Very close to the skin and unobtrusive.

For me, it's also great to wear in winter. A subtly sweet mood-lifter, unisex. With a fine spicy sparkling fruit-violet-leather appeal.

Dry violet on soft leather, spiced with cardamom, sets the tone. Pear and galbanum can be sensed; I don't perceive tuberose.

Fahrenheit cousin plus flowers plus powder, Insolence-violet meets lamb nappa. Androgynous, sexy, fits well with pantsuit and business outfit. Good!

A mix of Fahrenheit - J'adore - Jardins de Bagatelle. Very successful, violet, tuberose, and pear create a surprising old-school vibe.

Woody-powdery-fresh-soft floral with a hint of leather - leans towards Fahrenheit - Jil Sander can create good fragrances too...

Whenever I apply the fragrance or cream sample, I just love it. Why is it being torn apart? Slightly synthetic, yet beautiful!
