Crown vs. Anglia Perfumery, Result: Draw!
You can't tell that this fragrance is from 1910. Good perfumes are indeed timeless!
Thanks to Michelangela, I can compare the (probably no longer so vintage) version from Crown with the reissue from Anglia Perfumery.
All in all, Anglia has really done a great job, as I don't perceive any significant differences!
Both the fragrance development and the scent impression are nearly identical.
I can hardly recognize any difference in longevity and sillage either.
Except for a brief moment in the top notes, where the Crown version is a little scratchier. That's all I can identify as a difference.
Oh yes, there is another difference that I don't want to overlook. The bottle of the original is, of course, much more fitting for such an elegant fragrance. In contrast, the spray from Anglia seems almost a bit shabby.
My decision is now clear, I will soon acquire Crown of Gold in the newer version.
