Like the outside world after a good rain shower

This one is an olfactory experience. I'm still not sure I'd wear it during work days or when I'd be out and about, but it's a beautiful artistic perfume. I might just add it to my collection for the experience of smelling it in the comfort of my home when I feel like experiencing where the scent transports me despite its abyssmal performance.

On the strip of paper it smells like the outside world after an enormous storm has passed through. It smells like petrichor and wet grass (in the best way possible). It's fresh, green and aquatic, three things I never thought I wanted together in a perfume. On my skin, the story is a little bit different. I can make out the notes better than when I smell them on paper. The beginning is sharp with the citrus fruits giving your nose a gentle whack. It definitely wakes you up. After about a minute or so, that's when the magic starts. Grass note immediately comes through, quite realistic. There's also the fresh and green aspect of almond blossom petals that's akin to burrowing your whole face in a bouquet of flowers and inhaling deeply. The mist note imparts the fresh, aquatic scent of water reminiscent of dew drops on grass. The drydown becomes a bit warm due to the vetiver, like greenery being warmed by the sun that has peaked through the storm clouds. There's also the lovely presence of flowers with the violet note and a slight woody note with the cedarwood. I can't make out any powderiness which I'm pretty happy with (violet usually does this on my skin). This perfume is absolutely wonderful and enlightening. The one thing I have to warn you about is its abyssmal performance. The sillage is almost non-existent, it's a skin-scent after about 30 minutes. The violet and vetiver are the most persistent notes on my skin (with a hint of cedarwood), they're still here on my skin after about 2 hours, but I have to bring my wrist directly to my nose to even smell anything.

For the price, it might seem steep, but I think the experience makes up for it (generally). Like I said earlier, I might end up buying it someday for what it gave me during these precious, fleeting 30 minutes.
