Blossoming soul of a woman
An opulent bouquet for a passionate, proud woman - that's the association that comes to my mind at April 3rd first.
At the same time, I must admit that I did not expect too much after testing the yet quite oversweetened Ambre Tabac and the more imaginative, but equally oversweetened Black Widow Patchouli.

But with April 3rd Daniel Josier has succeeded in my opinion a small masterpiece, because he accomplishes in it a complicated balancing act between classic, opulent women's fragrances with the appropriate touch of animalism and a more modern fragrance with fresh accents and a soft sweetness.
The individual floral notes are for me hard to separate from each other, but in their entirety result in a lush bouquet, since shines in the most vibrant colors. A light lime freshness rolls off the leaves like morning dew, giving the fragrance a youthful effervescence that contrasts beautifully with the slightly animalic, spicy base notes. I feel transported to a garden where everything is sprouting wildly, greening and blooming, full of life and vigor. Dense and lush, yet fresh, juicy, rejuvenating. Dignified.

Daniel Josier is said to have designed April 3rd for his mother. I would love to know what kind of person she must be that she was able to inspire him to create such a powerful fragrance. It must be a beautiful soul. I almost have the feeling when wearing it, to be able to do him no justice.

P.S.: In its opulence, April 3rd reminds me quite some works of Roja Dove and also the quality seems surprisingly high - especially when you consider that he is in contrast to all Rojas for just 125€ to have.
