Shapeshifter
Magnolia is the first fragrance I get to sniff from Daniel Josier. The definitely makes you want to discover more.
I was in the mood for magnolia, I got magnolia. And not only that, but a trip to the Amalfi coast. Lemons as far as the eye (nose) can see.
But the most beautiful thing is that I am offered the lemon in different forms. It is not a volatile lemon as in a usual summer fragrance, but combines with other fragrance notes and thus lasts surprisingly well.
The first spray in the opening: cotton candy with lemon flavor. It is fluffy, the taste spreads at the first bite in the whole mouth, ...but where is the cotton candy gone? After a short while, I have to take a sip of lemonade. Mhhh, is there lemon cake?
Conclusion: Super floral-citrusy summer scent with a touch of creaminess.

One for the inner child
I'm in love. With Daniel Jossier's Magnolia. The very first time I tested it, I knew I could do it. Now I'm sure. I immediately raised the score from 8.5 to 9.5 again, and rightly so. At the first taster I knew that this is a fragrance that reminds me of something wonderful. Only of what?

What do I smell? I first smell a slightly squeaky lemon. On the cosmetic wipe it can be a bit pungent, while it melts with the skin relatively quickly and these high tones also immediately fade away. I smell the finest white clean musk, rounded off with a little vetiver and then the vanilla comes through quite quickly, giving the fragrance a certain basic sweetness. It doesn't have a great flow. The flowers, the name-giving magnolia as well as jasmine and rose, I take only subliminally. Thus, the name of the scent causes some confusion in my eyes, as we do not have a scent of magnolia as for example in Acqua di Parma in this wonderful Spaniard. Thus, those who go by the name will be on the wrong track with Josiers Magnolia. But personally, I do not mind the enigmatic blossoms at all, as I do not like them that much anyway, they are too opulent.

What else do I smell? Yeah, fruit. I definitely smell fruit, sweet fruit, and I don't just mean lemon. The scent is, as I have already stated in my statement, related to Molinard's Musc et Fruits, although significantly less clean musky. I have no fabric softener associations like Molinard's here. Musk is also not listed in the notes given by Josier. But it is there, albeit rather cryptically. But what is also there, at least my little beak tells me, is a currant note. And now it clicks, because now I know what this fragrance reminds me of and why I love it so unspeakably. When I was 17, I owned a currant oil for my fragrance lamp. My boyfriend at that time was into patchouli oil for his lamp, which was a bit too "gothic" for me, who was musically inclined towards Wave and Gothic, but olfactorically still a bit too "gothic". So little chicken needed a different oil. Something more sweet, which puts me in a positive mood. In a shop for handicraft supplies I discover this currant oil. Totally synthetic, of course, but beautiful. Whenever the little lamp was burning in my teenager's room, the fine, sweet scent made me feel good. And it is exactly this feeling of well-being that I now feel when I wear Magnolia.

For me, Magnolia is a breath of childhood and youth. Light-hearted and enchanting. It takes a little bit of inner child to like that scent. The Sillage is in the moderate range, which is why I can imagine it well in warmer temperatures.

Friends of Fresh Sugar, Molinard Musc et Fruits or Bond No. 9 Bryant Park should definitely take a look at it. Could be one of my absolute favorites
And the dear SchatzSucher has proven once again that he has a feeling for what the chicken likes. Another bull's-eye. Thank you!

D&G Light Blue Flanker
Wow... A nice scent should at least be commented on.
I came to this fragrance again thanks to Mrs Eyris' tip. :-)

So this fragrance starts off with a very reserved, soft lemon, lightly flanked by flowers. Later on, a little vanilla is added; unfortunately (as is often the case with vanilla and lemon scents), durability and sillage are not soooo opulent.

At first I was very enthusiastic, sprayed happily with my 10ml AF on me around But every time after some time there was a nerve note and I have no idea what it is. It reminds me of Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, which I had 50ml long, and which was already annoying me very quickly because of exactly this note at that time. The two fragrances are similar, with Magnolia being much softer and shallower, while the Light Blue has a more sparkling lemon. The notes are similar.

If you like the Light Blue, maybe Magnolia is for you too. A beautiful summer scent that you can never overdose.
