Sky scent

Sometimes I get the impression that there are as many different perfumes as there are stars in the sky. You can never know them all, there is always something new to discover and sometimes a new fragrance or brand comes unexpectedly under your nose like a shooting star So recently happened with Dorin. By a dear perfume friend this mark appeared suddenly on my smell horizon.
The name of the fragrance refers to the origins of Dorin. In 1780 Marie-Antoinette appointed the former traditional house the official court supplier for make-up, powder and fragrances.
"Versailles 1780" starts with a bitter, bitter bergamot note, which is immediately replaced by a melange of almonds and violets, a very exciting mixture that I have never smelt before.
I can only sniff out almonds and the following rose directly on the skin, in the projection it gives an overall impression of a soft-flowery-creamy scent.
After 5 to 10 minutes peach and iris-powdery lipstick appear on the firmament. I also usually know this differently in fragrances. I'm always on the hunt for nice lipstick notes. Unfortunately, these often disappear again after a short, wonderful start. Differently here, there it is exactly the other way round, lipstick appears only after a short time and remains available for it however up to the end.
And very quickly the other actors benzoin, musk and raspberry are added. As Kajsa5 so aptly describes in her statement, the raspberry gives a sparkling counterweight to the peach sweetness, reminds me a bit of "Aromadite" in this combination (for those who know it ;-). Also the initial bitter note accompanies the whole course.
Musk is very discreet, only underlines the softness, while benzoin adds a minimal smokiness and resinity later on.
The handmade bottle is made of seemingly thick milky-white (almost mother-of-pearl) glass, the gold stubble is heavy and the spray mist is wonderfully finely dosed. Only the label from paper, in addition with my bottle slightly crooked and a little bit creased stuck on, is not worthy of this noble and expensive work Whether his projection reaches far, I do not know yet, I myself can perceive him approx. 6 hours on the skin. But after I spray it on my hair and clothes too, the scent lasts much longer, enveloping me in its heavenly scenttaura of powdery-fruity lipstick.
Just as the stars are often extinguished a long time ago when their light reaches us, "Versailles 1780" combines the here and now with a bygone era, combining high modern perfume art with timeless traditional elegance. On Dorin's page you can read that this fragrance perfectly captures the time and life at the court of Marie Antoinette. And in fact a breath of nostalgia blows around me, a cloud from past days forms a good distance to the modern everyday life.
