Tobacco pouch in the apothecary cabinet
My first, consciously perceived oud fragrance. With many thanks to JonasP1.
I ask for indulgence from the connoisseurs of Ouds and their Divsersität, if my description seems a bit naive, because it is ;-)
The opening is harsh, bitter-medicinal and has its own charm - with which we have once again landed in a confidence-inspiring, protection and healing promising pharmacy. I'd like to quote Soap's statement here, which sums up the impression quite wonderfully for me:
"Marodern apothecary cabinet made of solid precious wood. Patina outside, residual medicinal aromas inside, seeping into the wood along the grain." (I hope that was okay)
The apothecary is my grandpa, and his soft-leather tobacco pouch is in one of the drawers.
Sometimes I sneak a sniff. The aromas of tobacco, vanilla and delicate herbaceous patchouli leaves wrap me warmly.
I lean against the old counter in the pharmacy and feel safe. The evening sun sends golden light through the windows while I wait for grandpa to plug his pipe, the pharmacy to close, and for us to go home.
Then I let him take me by the hand and stroll the streets beside him, lost in thought.... and make up stories.
--------------
.... such as the one about a grandpa who was a pharmacist....
Now that's not so true, but the scent almost immediately gives me the impulse to paint childlike, regressive mood pictures of security. I even like the turpentine intro. Animalic I can not really smell out, but is probably in it, and my nose is still too untrained.
An impressive fragrance for a wrist sniff evening.... or tends to like on a gentleman. Very nice!
